About The Team

The ZOE PR & Communications team executes and delivers on all aspects of the PR and Communications for the business to continue ZOE’s position as a category leader in health and nutrition. As a team, we work smarter, not harder, to deliver impactful results for ZOE. The team collaborates closely with the wider marketing team and partners with external agencies in UK and US to support us in bringing stories to life.

The ZOE press office receives numerous national print and digital requests a week, and the team works closely with top consumer titles on a weekly basis. ZOE’s scientists regularly release novel science, giving the team lots of amazing stories to pitch to our strong list of media contacts, which sets us apart from any other health brands.

About The Role

This role will be part of the ZOE PR & Communications team, working closely with our external PR agencies in UK and US, across our busy press office, supporting the PR & Communications Managers and Global Head of Communications.

You'll be...

  • Owning our daily media monitoring and sharing of press coverage internally
  • Working closely with our UK and US PR agencies on media gifting and reviews
  • Supporting relationship management with key journalists, from a range of national, consumer, science and trade press
  • Handling tasks such as daily coverage tracking, monthly reporting and updating status trackers and calendars
  • Working closely with the PR & Communications Managers to help draft briefing documents, bylines, media pitches and press releases
  • Supporting on all aspects of our busy proactive and reactive press office, including podcast pitching for our ZOE spokespeople, campaign launches and events
  • Supporting our ZOE spokespeople with building and maintaining their profile and monitoring/reporting on their media engagements
  • Working closely with our science copywriter to respond to requests in a timely manner
  • Learning and building your understanding of the science communications landscape

  • Have a keen interest in nutrition, science and health
  • Have a degree or relevant work experience in journalism, PR and Communications
  • Are very organised and detail-oriented
  • You need to be hot on spelling, grammar and proofreading
  • Are media and news-obsessed and get your news from a wide variety of different sources
  • Are highly motivated and eager to learn, especially in a remote-first working environment
  • Are good at time-keeping, you will often be working to tight media deadlines as well as meeting the demands and pressure of the team, so you need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality
  • Are a natural team player. A great collaborator who people enjoy working with and you’re eager to get involved!
