Chevron Traffic Management’s Action on Climate Change 🌍🌳 In a significant move towards environmental responsibility, our science-based emissions reduction targets were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This prestigious accreditation demonstrates our commitment to combating climate change and aligning our operations with global efforts to limit temperature rise. Our overall Net-Zero Target aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain by 2050. This ambitious goal is supported by a series of near-term and long-term targets designed to progressively reduce emissions. This is testament to our sustainable business practices and recognition of the urgent need to address climate change. Setting these targets not only demonstrates our dedication to minimising our environmental impact but also, we hope, inspires positive change within the traffic management sector. The Urban Barrier System is a new and innovative temporary solution for pedestrian delineation and protection. The simple but clever coupling design means quick and safe installation. Barriers are placed and connected during the lifting operation and positioned with an angle range of 210°. Variations in ground levels of up to 320mm are also accommodated. With no need for anchoring, bolting or counter-weights, the Urban Barrier takes up minimal space due to its narrow footprint, making it ideal for pedestrian delineation around work zones, construction sites, and utilities work. The video shows the system before the mesh is installed. Innovation runs throughout the heart of everything we do here at Chevron Group. So it's great to see our Green Services business using that spirit to trial a new way of working to enhance their ecological fieldwork.    The results speak for themselves, with our Environmental Consultancy division concluding that using the thermal imaging cameras to support their Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) provision is: - Safer for all on-site teams   - More efficient for our clients  - Causes less disturbance to the wildlife / habitats we're reviewing  - More effective    You can read all about their trial of thermal imaging cameras below.    #innovation #wesettthestandard #becausewecare #srn #highways

Chevron Green Services’ Consultancy division had a theory that using thermal imaging cameras as part of their on-site Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) would have a superior ecological benefit compared to visual checks alone. ECoW provision sees our ecologists scrambling up verges, down banks and through dense vegetation. Having seen thermal imaging cameras used in other industries to great effect, we wanted to see if we could utilise the benefits in our ecological fieldwork. After trials on the A303 in Wiltshire, our Consultancy division concluded that using the thermal imaging cameras to support their Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) provision is: 💚 Safer for all on-site teams 💚 More efficient for our clients 💚 Causes less disturbance to the wildlife / habitats we're reviewing 💚 More effective We now use it as our standard operating procedure for ECoW provision where appropriate. Do have a read through the full case study here 👇🏼 #innovation #wesettthestandard #becausewecare #srn #highways #wesetthestandard #becausewecare

We're delighted to have been appointed by housing association Moat Homes Limited to run an arboriculture contract covering their Kent properties. Under the tree surgery contract, we will monitor trees on Moat-owned land and provide tree maintenance advice, tree trimming and tree removal services when needed. We loved the approach that Moat took when tendering and awarding the work, looking for companies who could provide bespoke and local support in the various areas where Moat owns homes. Anne Brighton, Director of Neighbourhood Services at Moat, says: "Well-kept outdoor spaces play an incredibly important role in providing safe, pleasant homes that our customers can be proud of. Chevron Green Services showed a clear commitment to ensuring our customers receive a high-quality, reliable service with a focus on engaging with the communities they serve; we look forward to working with the team." Jim MacPherson, CGS Director said: “We’re really happy to be a new service provider to Moat. We work entirely in the service of the public in Highways, Rail, Education, Utilities and Defence Estates so we deeply understand the need to work in partnership with our clients to deliver safety-first customer service excellence. As our first partnership with a Housing Association, we’re genuinely proud that we contribute to maintaining the sense of pride that the residents have in the places that they live.” Moat is a leading housing association, owning and managing over 22,000 homes in the Southeast. They’re dedicated to building strong relationships with the local authorities in the areas they work in. Their vision is to become customer pioneers; genuinely working with their customers to drive services and standards which really resonated with our bespoke, collaborative approach and our ethos on stakeholder engagement. We look forward to sharing the works in full when we start on site shortly. #socialhousing #arboricultureservices #arblife #collaboration #stakeholderengagement
