WEAR THE DAMN SHORTS is back! Last year, we brought you our supercharged shorts campaign for the very first time. And it was epic. When summer hits, getting your legs out can be hard for all sorts of reasons and so this year, we wanted to share your stories to help empower women everywhere to WEAR THE DAMN SHORTS. And whose story inspired us this year's movement? It had to be Danielle Caudill. When she shared her empowering experience trying on shorts in our Bluewater store on TikTok...it went viral. When we thought about who could front this campaign, we knew it had to be women from our sisterhood. So, we reached out on Instagram and held an open casting for women who could never imagine wearing shorts to stand proud with Danielle and empower you to free those knees. And here they are. This summer, we're owning our body hang-ups together. Marks, scars, shape, age; lets find strength in our stories and let's WEAR THE DAMN SHORTS. Side by side. Thigh to thigh. You in? Grab your shorts and get ready to join the movement. #wearthedamnshorts

About us
We’re Sweaty Betty, a global activewear and lifestyle brand for women. We’re also a community that believes fitness is a flip-the-switch trigger for becoming the woman you want to be. Leggings and sports bras won’t change the world on their own. But with a grab-my-hand, let’s-go-for-it-now spirit, the women who wear them can. Since our founder Tamara got us moving in 1998, we’ve stood and run for both performance and style. Just take our Power Leggings – with technical fabric that sculpts and shaves time off your PB. Every 60 seconds, a woman buys herself a pair. That’s exactly the kind of HIIT interval we like. Our on-the-go community treats every day like it’s made for moving, and we’re always pushing to do better too. Like crafting clothes from responsibly sourced materials and recycled bottles; caring for both your body and the planet.

In 2023, The Sweaty Betty Foundation created over 2,000 opportunities for girls to get active, supported 14 organisations to give girls the joy of movement, donated 2761 Sweaty Betty Sports bras to reduce the barriers girls face to being active, and spent thousands on grants to empower girls to find activities they love. During Foundation Month, we challenged ourselves to raise as much money as possible so that they can continue their work supporting girls in 2024 to get active, and stay active - for life. Our Design teams assembled and through making handmade scrunchies out of deadstock, they managed to raise £675 for the Foundation. Creativity at it's finest. 🧵

Did you know that 64% of teenage girls with disabilities do not engage in regular sport or exercise? To us, that’s just not good enough. That’s why we couldn’t be prouder of The Sweaty Betty Foundation’s latest partnership. Together with Women in Sport and Nuffield Health, they’ve teamed up with Access Sport to bring you Breaking Barriers; a ground-breaking new project shedding light on the challenges teenage girls with disabilities have accessing physical movement. Last week, we hosted an incredible internal panel, including Helen Rowbotham and Kelly Smith to share the crucial research. From everyday barriers to game-changing initiatives, we all have a part to play in creating a more inclusive world when it comes to young girls and sport. Together, let’s help girls get active and stay active, for life. #thesweatybettyfoundation

We are all so proud to see Emma Smith, Sarah Platts-Winslow and Katie Baker-Shaw featured in the 'Diversity in Retail 2024 Role Models for Inclusion in Hospitality, Travel, Leisure and Retail Index' in partnership with The MBS Group. An incredible afternoon spent celebrating diversity and inclusion within our industry. We left feeling inspired by the words of Tea Colaianni 'Where we see walls, we must start to look for doors and a way through the barriers'. A huge congratulations to all those recognised. ⭐ #BeTheChange
