⚽ This #NationalPlayDay, together with Home-Start UK, we’ve launched a new ‘Inclusive Play’ course to support thousands of families with young and neurodiverse children across the UK. 🖌 The course is full of expert guidance and practical advice, developed alongside researchers at PEDAL centre of research for Play in Education, Development and Learning at the University of Cambridge - including input from the LEGO Group Professor of Play, Paul Ramchandani. 🎲 90% of Home-Start volunteers felt that some parents struggle to play with their child, and 99% believe that play is fundamental to helping a child build emotional bonds and connections with their parents and with others. 🥁 Through this new course, we’re aiming to upskill 4,000+ volunteers to help families use play to support children’s learning and development, laying the foundations that will last a lifetime. 💚 We launched the award-winning Healthy Happy Home upskilling programme in 2022 with essential e-learning courses, which have already helped more than 6,000 volunteers better support families with food and nutrition, sleep, and financial wellbeing. #InclusivePlay #HealthyHappyHome #DrivenByPurpose

Yesterday at our Leckford Nurseries in Hampshire, we opened the ‘Garden for Mind’ - a community space to support health, wellbeing and education through horticulture 🌻 In collaboration with Andover Mind, the new space has been designed and created as a supportive, social resource for the community.
