✨ I made my first game in Godot Engine! ✨ https://lnkd.in/eyTgWbtZ It's actually a remake of the game I helped make at GCU, Murder Nursery. I rewrote the story and dialogue to fit into a branching murder mystery style visual novel! 🕵♂️ For this project, I wanted to focus on my writing skills while also trying out a new engine, and I honestly had an amazing time working with it. The reason I've wanted to try out Godot is because I want to fully utilise free and open source software wherever I can. I love the community and collaborative development that comes with these projects and Godot in particular is incredible to use. Extensive and up to date(!) documentation, a super helpful community, some really powerful plugins with a lot of support (like Dialogic!), and something that I'm happy to be a part of. I'll definitely be working more in Godot soon, so keep an eye out! 🎉

One of lovely IG50 2024 winners is looking for a new adventure! Check her out 😎 ~ Em Nippers
Today was my final day at The Kurious! It's been a whirlwind 10 months, full of ups and downs and in-betweens, but I've come out of the other side more than ready to propel myself into whatever comes next 🚀 I've had the pleasure of working with some extremely talented individuals and companies and been a part of some very cool projects during my time as their Sound technician, but all things must end 💔 So, if you know of any positions in (or if any potential recruiters are seeing this 👀); Audio 🎶🎧 (Music, ADR, Sound Design, all the other good stuff) Ops/Management 👩💼📋 (Project management, Team leadership, or if you need someone around to, hype and ✨inspire✨) General Creative/Tech support 👩💻👩🎨 (I’ve got experience in graphic design, video editing, social media, IT… the list goes on!) Give me a shout! I’d really appreciate it 🥰 I’m a big old nerd who collects Lego, Pokémon cards and Video Games and I adore hearing people talk about things they’re passionate about! I have loads of experience in a lot of different industries, I’m sure I’ve got something I can offer you! 👾 (Yes I did copy and paste this from my old post, It's called recycling ♻ ) #lookingforwork #postproduction #gameaudio

I'm pleased to share that I recently completed the Into Games Advanced Storytelling Sprint, expertly led by Kim MacAskill! This was a brilliant 3-week course that not only provided us with the knowledge and tools to create 5 new portfolio pieces but offered a safe and constructive environment for sharing feedback and asking questions. I met the loveliest people as part of this course and can't believe how quickly it flew by! I think what makes this and all courses from Into Games (as well as the folks who lead them!) super special is the commitment to keeping entry into the Games industry or upskilling as accessible as possible. It's fantastic to learn in a space with other people who feel equally passionate about breaking down barriers and sharing their knowledge and experience. I'd thoroughly recommend taking part in one to anybody who has been mulling it over! A huge thank you to Nathan Charterton for doing such a fantastic job with keeping us all organised and to Mark Ginbey and Betty Robertson for their brilliant masterclasses! Our completed tasks from the course are available to view on the Into Games discord, as part of the Sprint Showcase: https://lnkd.in/eeTuJThm
