Meet our latest Cognita Face - Catalina Ananía, a First Grade teacher at Colegios Dunalastair in Chile 🇨🇱 Catalina has been teaching at Dunalastair for five years, and she emphasises the community-focused ethos of the school. She shares, "Working at Dunalastair feels like being at home," a sentiment that truly reflects the nature of our global family. Catalina's connection to Dunalastair runs deep as she was previously a student there, and so was her mother, and now her daughter is a current student. Catalina strives to create an environment where every student feels inspired to learn and participate. Students collected 1,027 kg of food for the local food bank while learning from experts about societal needs. 🎾🌟 Este verano, ELIS Murcia se unió a la MET Carlos Alcaraz Tennis Academy by Reina para organizar un curso intensivo de tenis. El programa incluyó entrenamiento en pista con entrenadores profesionales de la academia de tenis, preparación técnica y física, material deportivo, clases de inglés, piscina y la emocionante oportunidad de asistir a una sesión de entrenamiento con Carlos Alcaraz. Hoy, nuestros alumnos finalmente pudieron experimentar el punto culminante del curso: ver entrenar a su ídolo, y reciente campeón de Roland Garros y Wimbledon, Carlos Alcaraz. La emoción y la alegría eran palpables mientras tomaban fotos y recibían material deportivo firmado. Este ha sido un verano inolvidable para nuestros aspirantes a tenistas, lleno de aprendizaje, crecimiento e inspiración de uno de los reyes de este deporte. ¡Gracias y enhorabuena a todos lo que lo habéis hecho posible! 🌟🏆 🎾🌟 This summer, ELIS Murcia teamed up with the MET Carlos Alcaraz Tennis Academy by Reina to host an intensive tennis course. The programme featured on-court training with professional coaches from the tennis academy, technical and physical preparation, sports equipment, English lessons, swimming and the thrilling opportunity to attend a training session with Carlos Alcaraz. Today, our students finally got to experience the highlight of the course: watching their idol, and the recent Roland Garros and Wimbledon champion, Carlos Alcaraz, train. The excitement and joy were palpable as they snapped photos and received signed sports memorabilia. This has been an unforgettable summer for our aspiring tennis players, filled with learning, growth and inspiration from one of the best in this sport. Hastings School becomes the first carbon-neutral school in Madrid! 🌿🌍 We are thrilled to announce that Hastings School in Madrid has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first carbon-neutral school in Spain's capital and the first in our global community. This accomplishment is a testament to the school's dedication to a comprehensive sustainability strategy and highlights the incredible efforts made to reduce their carbon footprint. Since the 2020/21 academic year, Hastings School has partnered with Sustainability at School to drive sustainability initiatives through a whole school sustainability programme.
