    Digital body language: How do you interact with technology at work? Last Thursday, we hosted a double roundtable event in Central London, with one of the discussions being focused on 'The Rise and Opportunity of a Personalised Employee Experience', in partnership with Firstup, the world's first intelligent communication platform. Bringing together over 30 people leaders across two roundtables, we delved into the pressing challenges on HR in the current climate, which led to the introduction of a very important phrase, 'digital body language'. This includes looking at the activity of employees with workplace technology such as; - Do you ignore, like, or comment on something? - Do you sit on an email for 4 days before reading it? - Are you disengaged? In a world where no workforce necessarily works in the same time zone or location, the panel discussed the importance of tracking the digital body language of employees to better understand them and how best to communicate/ support them moving forward. The insights from this discussion were really intriguing and will be readily available to view on our website soon. With workforces being more diverse than ever and the need for timely/ effective communications becoming even more important, it was great to have workplace communication experts, Firstup in the room to support the conversation and share their knowledge.     How can we tell behavioural transformation has worked? 💭 Last Thursday, we hosted a double roundtable event in Central London, with one of the discussions being focused on 'Your Next HR Transformation Journey: People or AI Focused?'. Bringing together over 30 people leaders across two roundtables, we delved into the pressing challenges on HR in the current climate. During conversations, a key theme emerged; the need for AI literacy skills to be involved in the future people strategy. To ensure a seamless transition into an AI-driven workplace, organisations must proactively train their teams to use the technology effectively. Attention was also drawn to the fact that despite a large effort from people leaders across the globe looking to conduct behavioural transformations to increase productivity and employee wellbeing, tracking the improvements can be tricky. AI can support this activity by identifying trends amongst employees.     How can we effectively manage differing personalities to drive success as we scale? 🤔💭 At our ERUPT: Excellence in Leadership Conference we hosted a session on 'Building a Thriving Culture Whilst Scaling' which saw us bring together three established leaders from the world of growth for a discussion on one of the most challenging themes out there. Among our speakers was the talented Paul Murphy (CPO at Laser Digital) who identified the complexities of harmonising ideas when scaling a team. As companies expand, the influx of diverse roles can often lead to differing approaches and potential friction. However, Paul emphasised that these differences should be viewed as assets rather than obstacles. By fostering a culture that values open-mindedness and collaboration, we can turn diverse opinions into a powerful tool for making well-rounded decisions.     🗞️ Important Equal Pay Decision - What Can We Learn? 🗞️ A recent employment tribunal ruled in favour of over 3,500 current and former Next store staff, mostly women, who were paid less than warehouse workers, where most employees are men. This is a strong reminder that the gender pay gap is still a big issue in many industries and it brings up important questions for other companies: 🤔 How do you measure “equal work” across different roles? 🤔 Is your pay structure based on actual value, or is it simply aligned with market trends? Businesses should take this moment to carefully examine how gender roles impact their workforce and ensure they meet equality standards, or they risk facing similar issues as Next did. These changes go beyond rule following and should instead be viewed as building a culture of trust and fairness within your organisation.
