#Healthcare >> 🇺🇦 New Digital Healthcare Projects Presented by Ukraine's Ministry of Health at eHealth Summit At the eHealth Summit in Kyiv, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine introduced several new digital projects aimed at modernizing medical services. The event gathered over 300 leaders from the healthcare and IT sectors, along with government officials and international partners. Key projects announced: 🔹 E-tracking of medical cannabis circulation – to improve control and transparency in this area of medicine. 🔹 E-prescriptions for rehabilitation aids – streamlining access for patients requiring rehabilitation. 🔹 E-medical reports for adoption processes and driver's license applications – reducing bureaucracy and simplifying procedures. 🔹 New stock management system for medicines and medical products (eStock) – automating inventory control and ensuring better resource distribution. 🔹 E-waiting list for endoprosthetics – designed to provide fair access and reduce waiting times for patients. 💻 Additionally, personal patient web accounts will be launched by the end of the year. Patients will be able to update personal information and resubmit doctor declarations to choose new specialists. The summit also highlighted already operational systems like e-medical reports, e-referrals, and e-prescriptions, as well as tools for continuous medical professional development, which connect millions of Ukrainians and thousands of healthcare institutions. The main changes that the system will face in the coming years: 🔹 Renovation of medical facilities: the state purchases innovative equipment - from tomographs and MRI to specialized devices for oncology diagnostics. 1,000 ambulances, 200 CT scanners, and MRI machines, along with 15 linear accelerators, have been purchased. 🔹 Three-year contracts with suppliers will provide hospitals with stable and predictable supply. 🔹 Prozorro Market. The use of this platform not only speeds up the procurement process, but also saves up to 20% of the budget, which is important in the context of the economic challenges faced by the country. 🔹 Improved access to medicines. Medical Procurement of Ukraine (MPU) is actively working to improve access to essential medicines and medical devices for Ukrainians. Particular emphasis is placed on patients with serious illnesses, such as oncology, for whom timely and high-quality medicines are vital. 🔹 Long-term cooperation with international partners. Over 40% of contracts signed this year are three-year agreements. 🔹 Managed-entry agreements (MEA): Cooperation is expanding regarding innovative drugs, including those for rare diseases. The procurement nomenclature remains stable, with potential additions of new molecules. 🔹 Operation During Blackouts: The organization ensures uninterrupted supply of medicines through generators and alternative energy sources. Vehicles for vaccine transportation are equipped with refrigerators, and hospitals have backup generators. 🔹 Changes in Procurement Assortment: Inclusion of endoscopic equipment and cyclotrons in new procurements.
