Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Director, Global Project Management Office to lead our PMO initiatives across regions and work with team members in the US, Taiwan, Malaysia & Singapore. The successful candidate will have extensive and recent experience working in manufacturing or related industries (semiconductor/ electronic/ devices & others) and must have managed large-scale projects valued at over 10 million dollars & above.

As the Global PMO leader, you will drive the performance of multiple projects simultaneously and be the subject matter expert in designing and implementing effective PMO processes to assess, prioritize, and govern all assigned projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop the PMO into a center of excellence for project management to provide guidance and coaching to novice or new project managers who need to understand how UCT runs projects.
• Develop a set of competency requirements to qualify UCT Project Managers.
• Manage a common set of practices, principles, and templates for managing projects.
• Ensure that the standards and templates are followed by performing regular assessments of projects.
• Manage PMO management reporting, gather project data, and produce information for management review.
• Track the status of all projects within the PMO, based on updates from the project managers. Standardize the way information is compiled and reported to management.
• Define and use a standard project dashboard to provide a clear way to keep track of the status of projects.
• Continuously improve project portfolio management approach (PPM) that the PMO manages and facilitates.
• Keep an up-to-date repository of projects underway and requests pending review.
• Manage a resource capacity plan or resource forecast to help understand resource availability for projects.
  
  

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other related fields, MBA or master's level education preferred.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification required.
  
  

Experience Requirement:

• 12 to 15+ years of experience in Project Management.
• PMO experience in manufacturing-related industries (Semiconductor/ Electronic/ Devices/ Contract Manufacturing or others).
• Led PMO teams regionally or globally.
• Managed project budgets of over 10 million dollars.
• Global cross-functional team leadership and management skills.
• Advantageous (not a must) to have a background in manufacturing plant construction in the semiconductor or related industry.
