Working Arrangements: Fixed 3 Days a week (discussable)

Responsibilities

Conduct independent starch analysis and other laboratory analysis
Able to execute independently starch analysis in terms of physical and application properties
This will include jet cooking, handsheet marking and reactivity test
Conduct starch bench marking test with the guidance from supervisor
Support day-to-day operations of NSPI Technical Center
Upkeep of laboratory supplies - Source quotations, raise PO and make payment with proper book keeping
Process sample request from technical service
Keep track of incoming sample
Partake in the safety activities of both the lab and the company
Support new Product Development and application projects
Setting up lab apparatus
Keying of data and conduct appropriate data processing
Conduct basic lab testing independently
Support any other general administrative duties/ad-hoc projects as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Requirements

At least 1 year’s experience in research and development role across various material science applications.
Minimum a diploma in Material Science / Technology (or any other science-related courses)
Detailed and well organized
Analytical, methodological and result oriented
Able to multitask and independent
