Year 3 Business Studies (Human Resource) Student | IHRP-CA

Today marks my last day as an HR Intern at Xcellink Pte Ltd, and I find it difficult to put into words just how grateful I am for the unwavering support I have received from the entire team. My time here has been transformative, teaching me the true meaning of tenacity and perseverance. I leave this internship feeling more confident, professional, and self-assured, and I owe much of that growth to the incredible people I have had the privilege to work with. 💼 Working closely with the HR and Finance Teams, I have gained not only invaluable knowledge in their areas of expertise but also a deep appreciation for the strong sense of camaraderie within the team. Their guidance and patience have made my experience truly special, and I am honoured to have been part of such a supportive and close-knit team. 🫂 I also had the pleasure of collaborating with the Enterprise Operations Team, and I am extremely thankful for the kindness and understanding they have shown me. It’s been an absolute joy working alongside them, and I sincerely wish each of them success in their future endeavours! ✨ One of the highlights of my internship was the opportunity to attend industry events like HR Tech Festival Asia 2024, NUS Future of Work 2.0, and SP's Human Resource Learning Journey. These experiences allowed me to sharpen my networking skills and gain deeper insights into HR trends and technologies, particularly HRMS Systems and the rise of AI in work processes. They broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by HR professionals today. 💭 Finally, a special shout-out to Clement Teo and Isabel Lim, my superhero workplace mentors and supervisors! 🦸🦹♂️ Your patience, wisdom, and encouragement have been instrumental in my growth, and I will carry the knowledge and experience you have imparted with me throughout my career. Thank you for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to explore and immerse myself in the HR world! ☺️

    Deputy Director @ Xcellink | IHRP-SP, ICP-AHR

Today I had the opportunity to join the Wellbeing First Responder Tier 1 training delivered by Singapore Red Cross Academy in partnership with Wellbeing Champions Network, and I’m excited to share a few key takeaways from enhancing my learning about Mental Health and Psychological First Aid (PFA): 🗣️ Active Listening: Providing a supportive ear can make a world of difference for someone in distress. 🤝Empathy & Validation : Genuine empathy helps in building trust and offering effective support. 🛠️ Practical Support/Links: Offering practical assistance can significantly ease burdens, such as social support, self-care and specialist care. Well-being is a collective responsibility. By integrating these PFA principles, we can foster a more supportive and resilient community, especially in the workplace. Xcellink Pte Ltd also supports building a strong peer support network for our employees. Glad to have bumped into my fellow training participant, Jasmine Liew Doctorate Candidate Psychological Safety,iHRP- SP Thanks to the trainers and Joseph Kalaivanar for sharing insights on emotional wellbeing and its impact on work performance. #wellbeingchampionsnetwork #PFA

ICT Operations & Workforce Transformation Solutions

August has always been the month of inspiration on many fronts for me. And it's been wonderfully inspiring to witness the high energy and relentless leadership of the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) team at work and how that has empowered the #HR professionals community to revolutionise and grow in force 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 ~ have said it before and I'm moved to share again here all that passion and vision to drive transformation for our workforce and businesses is surely going to become an all important engine for our Singapore economy and for the livelihoods of Singaporeans 🫶 Congratulations #IHRP for another amazing year as a beacon for workforce transformation. Truly befitting that IHRP's inauguration anniversary shares the same date as our National Day on 9th August ~ the HR professionals community that is championed and nurtured by IHRP is in many ways like our civilian army contingent serving and protecting our nation's most-prized assets. Hope we get to see #IHRP and the HR community contingent marching at our National Day Parade some day! Also taking this opportunity during our #Singapore Birthday Month to share my gratitude and encouragement to all HR Professionals dedicated to nurturing our Singapore workforce through the tough transformation work that you do, including our very own HR team at Xcellink Pte Ltd. May everyone's professional growth continue to bring our workforce to greater heights, and may all HR professionals stay strong and take good care your own well-being 💕 because that's how we can continue to drive true positive change meaningfully and sustainably together! 🙏🏻 Aslam Sardar, PBM Karina Kuok Aileen Tan Winnie Ng Serene Teh Isabel Lim Zhihan Yeo Gary Ong Jaslin Choo

Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) proudly presented the refreshed Body of Competencies (BoC) on IHRP Learning Day, 7 August. It was a joyous occasion of double celebration as we marked IHRP’s upcoming 8th birthday which falls on National Day. Unveiled by Guest-of-Honour NTUC Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Desmond Tan and IHRP CEO, Mr. Aslam Sardar, PBM, this timely update empowers HR practitioners to excel in strategic roles, drive business value, and lead organisational transformation. Validated by 91 organisations and through comparative analysis with five international HR frameworks, the BoC aligns with best practices, making it a robust model for HR excellence. IHRP’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, Ms Karina Kuok, presented the key highlights of the refreshed BoC and how it is designed to equip HR professionals with the competencies needed to navigate evolving business demands and workforce trends. The framework emphasises sustainability, business value creation, technological advancement, and holistic well-being, preparing HR professionals to lead in these critical areas. GOH Deputy Secretary-General Desmond Tan and IHRP CEO Aslam were joined by Workforce Singapore Deputy Chief Executive, Mr. Boon Ping Lau, IHRP-MP and Singtel Group Chief People and Sustainability Officer, Ms. Aileen Tan and Xcellink Pte Ltd Chief Executive, Ms. Jen Nie Kwok for an engaging Fireside Chat on the need to drive business impact through transforming workforce and enhancing competencies for a skills-first economy. This transformation focuses on reskilling and upskilling employees to meet the demands of emerging technologies and market dynamics. HR plays a pivotal role in this journey by partnering with businesses to identify critical skill gaps and foster a culture of continuous learning. To achieve this, it is vital that HR themselves retain their competitive edge and hone their competencies in emerging areas, through the IHRP Certification and other tools such as Job Redesign. Be part of the movement - join us in elevating HR practices and driving business impact with the refreshed BoC. Senior Manager @ Xcellink | Talent Strategy, Tech-Enterprise Account Management, ICT Managed Services

What an incredible session AiSP (Association of Information Security Professionals) put together for the CyberSec Conference yesterday, on May 15th, 2024! We were truly honored to have Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of National Development - Mr. Kiat How Tan, visit our booth. During his visit, we had the opportunity to share our initiatives and programs focused on empowering the cybersecurity workforce by supporting the upskilling and reskilling of our employees. These efforts are aligned with our shared goals of offering opportunities for aspiring tech individuals. Our Xcellink Pte Ltd team had engaging conversations with visitors and Tech Professionals from various sectors and organizations. We're excited to continue these interactions beyond the event. We were also thrilled to interact with 2nd-year Cybersecurity students from Brunei, as well as delegates from Cyber Security Brunei (CSB) and Brunei Cyber Security Association. We believe that attendees gained valuable insights from our booth representatives Evans Wu @Shawn Tay, Cynthia Tan, Nathaniel Leong, and Farah Shakina. Our Workforce Solutions go beyond sourcing and placing skilled tech talents. We provide comprehensive and tailored resource augmentation and managed services to ensure efficient and cost-effective business operations. Our collaborative partnership model ensures quality execution of customers' Service Strategy & Design, Service Operations Cost-Effectiveness, and Business Planning needs. We are committed to providing holistic support to clients in both small- and large-scale operations. The platform that we presented, Dynamic Analysis Security Testing Tool (DAST Essentials) is an application security solution designed to identify vulnerabilities in web applications while they are running in production. This tool can identify a broad range of vulnerabilities, including input/output validation issues, cross-site scripting, SQL injection, and configuration errors. For those with questions about our workforce solutions or who would like a demonstration session on DAST Essentials, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or my colleagues or drop us enquiry at sales@xcellinkgroup.com A big thank you to everyone who attended the event and visited our booth. And of course, a special thank you to AISP for inviting us.
