SingPost is undergoing a cultural transformation, and the Future of Work program is not just about increased digitalisation to ensure seamless logistics operations - it is also about focusing on our people. Sehr Ahmed, SingPost's Group Chief People Officer, is one of our trailblazers for this program. We will be creating a Future of Work Academy to invest in our employees and create a culture where trust, customer focus, safety, teamwork, execution, and transformation are paramount. In our recently concluded Future of Work roadshow, we highlighted the many use cases of technology and how current work processes may be transformed. This is the first in the series of how we envision technology fitting into our daily work lives, so watch this space! Curious to learn more about these initiatives? **Purpose in Action: SingPost's Journey in Corporate Social Value** I recently had the privilege of hosting a table discussion at the Singapore APEX Business Summit 2024 on the topic "Pathways to Purpose: Businesses as a 'Force for Good'". It was an excellent opportunity to share SingPost's experiences in making positive social impact through corporate partnerships and community engagement. I shared with my fellow attendees how SingPost aims to be a force for good in the communities we serve. We focus our efforts in the area of  • environmental stewardship, • community resilience & well being and • digital inclusion Our collaboration with Temasek Foundation has been particularly impactful, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some key initiatives include: **#BYOB Clean Initiative**: Mobilised over 1,000 postmen to deliver informational pamphlets to 1.5 million households as part of a multilateral effort to provide free hand sanitiser. **StayWell Mouth Gargle Distribution**: Played a crucial role in packing and delivering mouth gargle to households across Singapore. **Oximeter Distribution**: Supported the nationwide distribution of redemption leaflets for oximeters to 1.48 million households. This partnership has allowed us to lean on Temasek Foundation's strong network and develop collaborative solutions that meet community needs while enhancing our own social impact capabilities. Importantly, these initiatives create value not just for the community, but also for SingPost. They positively impact employee engagement, strengthen brand reputation and foster stronger relationships with stakeholders and customers. During the discussion, it was great to hear how other businesses embark on their own efforts while others were also encouraged to play their part in being a "force for good", creating sustainable, long-term value for all stakeholders - employees, customers, communities, and shareholders alike. Let's continue to leverage our resources and networks to drive meaningful social change while benefiting our operations and stakeholders! In sharing SingPost’s own experience, he stressed the importance of a core set of leaders who can help embed the skills and attitudes across the entire organisation.Reminding all that “there is no such thing as perfection” and instead, to be mindful of shaping and bringing along the organisation on its own individual journey, Vincent stressed the importance of innovating services to meet the evolving needs of customers, after all, “if you perfect the candle, you’ll never build a lightbulb.” Stay tuned for more updates as we share the journey of SingPost's 'Future of Work' initiative underway in the Group. #SABS2024 #FutureOfWork #DigitalTransformation #SmartTechnology
