In esports we are chronically online, working weekends is normal and you spend a lot of time at your desk. To add to it, at Paper Rex, our staff is spread across the region in four different countries and three time zones, so we’re a very remote team, with our Singapore team coming into the office only twice a week. Because of this, I’ve worked hard to make sure my workspace is something I can truly enjoy and feel comfortable in, since this is where I spend most of my working hours. I’m quite picky about my workspace too - it has to be free from as much clutter as possible or else I can’t get my best work done, and I know I’m not alone in this. 🤔 My mind is easily distracted from clutter, and my wife (and staff) laugh at me about it. 😅 But this is where the perks of working in esports comes in. One of them is having access to awesome partners in the office furniture space - like Secretlab! 😎 Last month, the folks at Secretlab delivered my brand new MAGNUS Pro desk. Honestly, I thought my setup was already pretty great, but after this desk upgrade, things just got better. 🎉 I’ve had a standing desk before, so that wasn’t a new thing to me (if you are considering it, do it!) What really took me by surprise was the subtle but amazing cable tray and in-built cable management system throughout. Paired with dual Secretlab monitor arms, it's great not having to worry about compatibility or an imperfect fit. The monitor arms attach to your desk so easily, and all the cables are seamlessly hidden, without spending hours using cable ties, double sided tape and finicky plastic clips bought off Shopee. 🙏 For me, seeing less cables and more empty space has been an absolute pleasure. 😇 I also opted for the add-on premium PC mount. This is a game changer for standing desk users, as now I can keep my PC below the desk which frees up so much desk real estate - I ended up buying new speakers with that extra space. Even when raising the desk I don’t need to worry about the cables getting pulled or twisted because the PC rises together with the desk. How cool! 🙌 All this together means I have more room and options. The final touches are the Secretlab premium footrest and of course, our very own TITAN Evo Paper Rex Edition (sold out, btw!) Staying focused works differently from person to person. I work best sitting with one leg crossed and one leg on the footrest. The backrest is very slightly back, armrests brought up to desk level so I can work for hours at a time without getting uncomfortable. 💭 Anyone else have a standing desk and/or Secretlab products? 💭What do you think? 💭 Do you also hate a cluttered desk and cannot focus if it isn’t clean?

𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗯'𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜'𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻! Back in 2018, Secretlab didn't really stand out to me; it was just another gaming chair brand. However, that all changed when I met Matthew Bailey, also known as Cyborgmatt, the Director of Operations at Team Secret. When I was the Director of Events at Mars Media, organizing MDL tournaments, I reached out to teams for feedback. Matt's immediate suggestion was clear: "Dude, you really need to get Secretlab chairs for your next events, preferably a mix of Titan and Omega" I remember joking, "So nice of you to push your partner's chairs at our event." Matt just smirked and told me to give it a shot. When I asked what made those chairs so special, he just shrugged and said, "Everything" Some weeks or months later, I found myself at another event, this time with Secretlab chairs. I sat in one, tested it out, and within minutes, I was sold. It only took me a few minutes to realize how fantastic those chairs were, not only for my own comfort but also for the players. That's when it hit me: I wanted Secretlab as a partner for all our future MDL events. And just like that, the Singapore-based company became our partner for both the MDL Disneyland Paris Major and the MDL Chengdu Major, both of which took place in 2019. At the MDL Disneyland®️ Paris Major, I didn't receive a single piece of negative feedback about the chairs. Following the MDL Chengdu Major, several Chinese teams approached me, expressing their desire for the chairs due to their exceptional quality, despite Secretlab not being available in China at the time. So yeah, if you ever wondered if Secretlab is worth the purchase. I hope this post answers your question. This post was written in the comfort of my Secretlab TITAN Evo.
