Heimstaden Bostad Secures a New Seven-Year EUR 725 Million Loan. The EUR 725 million financing replaces an existing secured bank loan with maturity in 2026 and brings in net new proceeds of EUR 200 million. The new facility will benefit the maturity profile as well as the overall cash position of Heimstaden Bostad. Net proceeds will be used for liability management. Breaking ground for Heimstaden's new German construction project "Wohnen am Ruhwaldpark" in Berlin-Charlottenburg. 🏗️ Last week, Heimstaden Deutschland celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for 85 new rental apartments, together with Jan Wiese Architekten, the general contractor Perdomo, and many employees on the construction site. The existing residential buildings, dating from the 1950s, are now being supplemented by two new buildings, towering six and eleven storeys respectively. Most of the new apartments will be 2-3 room units, with some 4-room apartments also available. The completion of the residential buildings is already planned for the end of 2025, with the finalisation of the outdoor areas scheduled for spring 2026. - "We are creating a new building that ultimately benefits everyone – the future residents, for whom a new home is created, as well as the existing tenants, whose living environment is improved and beautified," says Gerrit Marc Sperling, Country Manager and Managing Director of Heimstaden Germany. Breaking News from Heimstaden Sweden. 🆕 Our fantastic, newly renovated property “Kronprinsen” (Swedish for The Crown Prince) in Malmö in the Southern part of Sweden, has just won the Swedish Bicycle Cities Planning Award 2024. 🚲 Kronprinsen and its unique bicycle passage are awarded the prize with the motivation from the jury that:  "With Kronprinsen's bicycle passage and garage, Heimstaden show how to make it easy, safe, and accessible to choose the bicycle as a means of transportation for daily needs. We hope that more people follow in the footsteps of Kronprinsen's approach and plan for the bicycle at the center." The 61-meter-long bike passage is used by an average of 7,000 visitors each week and stretches from the bypassing street and all the way into the heart of the center, making the daily commute easy and convenient. The vision of Swedish Bicycle Cities is that half of all trips shorter than five kilometres should be made by bicycle. Swedish Bicycle Cities is an association of municipalities and regions working for increased, better, and safer cycling. The planning award is given to a measure that has excellently considered the conditions and needs of cycling, thus advancing the development of bicycle planning throughout the country.

Great news from Heimstaden Deutschland: 85 brand new apartments are on the way in Berlin. We have just received the building permit for the Spandauer Damm project, neighbouring some of our existing properties. Located in the western part of the historic district of Charlottenburg, the 85 units will positively benefit the area and add modern apartments for the growing population in the German capital. Country Manager and Managing Director of Heimstaden Germany, Gerrit Marc Sperling, is looking forward to welcoming new tenants to Heimstaden and new residents to Charlottenburg: "Construction of the Spandauer Damm project will begin very soon.
