My recent trip to Denmark held everything I love most about IFF: deep science, excellent technology and amazing people. Grindsted and Brabrand are technical powerhouses and not too far from where I used to spend my summers as a kid in Norway. If you know IFF, you know our teams enjoy showcasing all the ways that make us unique in our approach with customers and employees. Both Grindsted and Brabrand are celebrating significant anniversaries, and their commitment, history and pride were on clear display. Even though very different, the two sites are foundational to IFF’s presence in Europe and crucial to how we support our customers globally. Our talented students showcased their inspiring R&D and innovation projects, applying new scientific approaches and tools and demonstrating incredible ingenuity and determination. The students are part of the robust Brabrand Student Program, where they receive mentorship from esteemed scientists and the opportunity to work closely with our 250+ passionate scientific and innovation staff. Our Student Council and mentors provide dedicated guidance and support, helping students refine their ideas and push the boundaries of their research. At IFF Campus Brabrand, we boast industry-leading integrated capabilities at the Food/Feed/Health nexus. IFFers love science and we recently went beyond our own labs to join the Great Reef Census, a virtual, volunteer experience allowing “citizen scientists” to examine the reefs and provide vital data to marine conservationists. Partnering with NGO’s Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef and WeHero, IFF teams remotely explored the ocean floor by using cutting edge AI technology to identify types of coral. Analyzing the images is crucial to providing baseline coral cover results and helps to better understand the impacts of mass coral bleaching events. #TBT to an inspiring World Safety Day at our Dandenong site! 🚀 Our Australian team had an amazing time celebrating the Life Saving Principles. The day was packed with fun activities like a quiz, bottle flip challenge, and a “Post-it Board” where team members shared their personal #safety practices. The highlight was the paper airplane throw—each operator wrote down a safety commitment, folded it into a paper plane, and launched it. The twist? Everyone picked up someone else’s plane, creating a partnership system to follow up with these commitments in two weeks.
