Our client is seeking a National Business Manager to join their team in Auckland. This role is an exciting opportunity to manage and develop growth strategies for a leading company in the retail, food service, and ingredients channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving budgeted sales volumes, profit, and market share. This role offers the chance to work directly with channel & function leads in Australia to deliver the overall business strategy.

What You'll Do

As a National Business Manager based in Auckland, you will play a pivotal role in managing the business and developing growth strategies. You will be accountable for achieving budgeted sales volumes, profit, and market share targets. Your ability to work across multiple channels, customers, and product categories will be crucial to your success. You will also collaborate closely with head office teams in Australia. Building strong relationships both internally and externally will be a key part of your role.

  • Manage the overall business, developing and delivering growth strategies.

  • Develop strong relationships with internal Sales, Marketing, Category and Insights, SOP and Distribution teams.
  • Build effective external relationships with Retailer Buying Team and Middle Management, Food Service Distributors, Food Manufacturer customers.

About You

The ideal candidate for the National Business Manager role brings a wealth of experience from previous roles in Retail and Food Service Account Management. You have an in-depth understanding of the New Zealand FMCG market which you can apply to account/channel specific activities and tasks. A degree qualification in a Business / Marketing related discipline is desirable but not essential if you have equivalent experience. Your technical aptitude will enable you to facilitate sales in the Food Ingredients channel. Your strategic and analytical thinking skills, effective communication skills, excellent time management skills, and computer literacy will all contribute to your success in this role.

  • Prior Retail and Food Service Account Management experience.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand FMCG market.
  • Degree qualified in Business / Marketing related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Technical aptitude to facilitate sales in the Food Ingredients channel.
  • Strategic and Analytical thinking skills.
  • Effective Communication skills, both Written and Oral.
  • Excellent Time Management Skills (and the ability to multi-task).
  • Computer Literacy skills.
