Tourism New Zealand has launched a new campaign shining a light on Aotearoa New Zealand’s unique stargazing experiences and world class cuisine to entice potential visitors year-round. The activity supports TNZ’s new strategy to grow year-round tourism and encourage off-peak visitation. Underneath a billion stars at Kura Tawhiti, the foothills of the Southern Alps, the campaign content features a pop-up restaurant called Pou-o-Kai where media, tastemakers and social media advocates from TNZ’s key markets gathered to experience some of New Zealand’s best cuisine, in a friendly nod to Michelin since New Zealand doesn't have a Guide. The activity includes stargazing and cuisine experiences from across the country as well as a comprehensive suite of trade training resources focused on growing off-peak visitation for travel agents, and content on TNZ’s social media and newzealand.com which potential travellers use to plan their trip. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/gdaMVGyS A big thanks to ChristchurchNZ, Te Ngāi Tūāhuriri and Ben Bayly!

Research tells us that the more interactions manuhiri (visitors) have with Tiaki – Care for New Zealand messaging, the more likely they are to travel responsibly around our home 🚗🗑️🤝🌱🌩️ So, it’s great to see the new Tiaki displays at Christchurch International Airport Limited. The installation is part of a wider collaboration between Ngāi Tūāhuriri, ChristchurchNZ and Christchurch International Airport that welcomes international manuhiri with a local creation story, tells the story of Canterbury, shares Tiaki values, and showcases the diverse experiences of the region. If you’d like to support by displaying Tiaki at your business, find out how here: https://lnkd.in/e2kfNBU5

That’s a wrap on Kiwi Link India 2024! Over two days the 40-member delegation from New Zealand reconnected with close to 200 Indian travel sellers in Mumbai. Visitors from India will support our new strategy to grow year-round tourism, with over 70% of holiday visitors from India arriving during New Zealand’s off-peak seasons (March-November) in 2023. Over 85% of all holiday arrivals from India book through a travel agent, so working closely with the travel trade in India, through events like Kiwi Link, will help to grow arrivals from India.
