Last week, we were proud to host the House Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Resources at our new manufacturing and distribution facility in Ipswich, Queensland. As the committee leads for the Federal Government’s Inquiry into Food and Beverage Manufacturing, we welcomed the opportunity to share our recommendations on the subjects of innovation, export, excise, sustainability, skills and infrastructure, which are critical to help companies succeed domestically and compete internationally. The largest FMCG investment in Australia in the last 10 years, our Ipswich facility sets a benchmark for its advanced technology and carbon neutral commitments, as well as demonstrating extensive capability and capacity.    Thank you to Mrs. Michelle Landry MP, Ms. Alison Byrnes MP MP, Mr. Dan Repacholi MP, and our local member Mr. Shayne Neumann MP for taking the time to understand our vision and aspirations for Suntory Oceania.

At Suntory, we're passionate about protecting water and the natural beauty that surrounds it. This World Water Week, we’re thrilled to highlight Suntory “Mizuiku” — education program for nature and water, an initiative dedicated to inspiring children to think about what each of them can do for water sustainability. Since 2004, Mizuiku has introduced over 580,000 children in Japan and beyond to the wonders of nature and the importance of water conservation. Through immersive experiences and educational activities, we empower the next generation to appreciate and safeguard our planet’s vital resources. Together, let’s continue to nurture and protect our water sources for a sustainable future! #WorldWaterWeek #Mizuiku #WaterConservation #FutureLeaders #ProtectOurPlanet #Sustainability #OneSuntory #GrowingForGood

Suntory Global Spirits has released their latest Sustainability Report, highlighting progress against their Proof Positive sustainability strategy and ambitions. Highlights include reducing water usage and carbon emissions, including using 48% less water across operations since 2015, nearing the target of 50% by 2030. More packaging was designed for recycling, hundreds of thousands of trees were planted, and regenerative agricultural practices are now implemented on more than 17% of the land used to produce the crops and ingredients that make our spirits products.  Together we look forward to driving our sustainability commitments as Suntory Oceania when our multi-beverage partnership launches from mid-2025.

Exciting news for Jim Beam in Australia at the 12th annual Australian Drinks Awards last week. Jim Beam Bourbon & Cola clinched the coveted Dark Spirits Ready To Drink (RTD) “Fan Favourite” award – an important recognition of our work to build meaningful connections with consumers.     In addition, one of the brand’s major sponsorships, Rugby League Team the New South Wales (NSW) Blues, celebrated one of their greatest State of Origin victories. The game was the highest rated TV program of 2024 and we're thrilled that Jim Beam was part of this key passion point in the market as we continue to embed the world's #1 bourbon into the cultural fabric of Australia. Congratulations to the Jim Beam AU team! Emma Keenaghan Trent Chapman Liam McShane
