The connection I felt leaving that interview made me realize that this was the type of company I wanted to be a part of permanently. I feel like I hit the jackpot when I landed my role. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲-𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀? Working in a wahine-led business can be pretty awesome for so many reasons. It’s all about offering a safe space to bring fresh perspectives and new ways of solving problems, which can lead to some pretty exciting innovations in the workplace. It makes work feel more like a family and community. Creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and where work-life balance is taken seriously is key. It’s always inspiring to see someone who is breaking barriers and leading by example—showing that leadership is within reach for everyone. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼, 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿? My Mum! My mum has been an incredible mentor and coach throughout my career. Being a successful businesswoman herself and seeing her manage a successful career and business while raising a family from a young age was such a great role model for me. I only hope I can instil the same values in my daughter. She’s guided me with her wisdom, always offering insightful advice and constructive feedback. She has been nurturing but also pushed me to grow while providing unwavering support. Her encouragement and belief in my abilities have been a major boost to my confidence and motivation on my career journey. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿? I absolutely love coming to work, sometimes so much that it’s hard to leave at the end of the day! The passion and dedication the team brings to work every day is contagious. The way we collaborate and support each other has created a safe space where ideas flow freely, and you can truly be yourself. There are a lot of highs and lows in recruitment, so it’s important to have a great team around you to really help navigate these times.
