Are you looking for an early career opportunity to gain professional experience and develop your skills in the fast-growing area of learning and development, combining technology and people?

Consider joining us - the future of learning is already here!

We are looking to recruit a full time Learning & Development Specialist to join the Learning & Development team for Norway in Hydro’s Global Learning Centre (GLC).

We are committed to learning management, providing innovative and efficient learning and development services. Our purpose is to support employees in their development and leaders to reach their business and people management goals by our state-of-the-art, high-quality services.

What We Offer You

  • In this role you will play an important part in one of Hydro’s most important tasks over the coming years: retaining and developing human resources – our employees.
  • You will be exposed across the company and develop a network nationally and globally.
  • For the right candidate we can offer early responsibility and influence: you will have opportunities to develop new learning services, have an impact on the further development of existing services, and to continuously improve.
  • You’d be in a great place to continue building a career within Hydro.

About The Job And Your Team

You will work on a range of tasks, depending on the priorities of the team and your background, capabilities, and motivation:

  • Close collaboration with business to identify learning needs and provide advice on internal and external learning offerings.
  • Arrange and facilitate onboarding events (e.g. for new joiners, leaders, summer temps and apprentices).
  • Develop and run physical and digital leadership training.
  • Develop and facilitate digital learning offers, such as e-learnings and gamified training.
  • Maintain and develop internal HR communication and training material.
  • Provide system support in our engagement survey tool, performance management system and Learning Management System (LMS).

You will join a team which currently has five employees: three working at the head office in Vækerø/Oslo, one in Høyanger, and one in Sunndal. The team and GLC are part of Hydro Global Business Services (GBS), an organization that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group.

Your Qualifications And Skills

The position is a great opportunity for candidates early in their career. We believe that the right candidate has a master’s degree within HR, Management, Organizational Psychology, Pedagogics, or another relevant area.

We prefer you to have relevant experience from an internal HR department or similar services, but this is not an absolute.

Given the range of people you will interact with, you need to be fluent in using both Norwegian and English as your working language.

We think good system and computer skills are crucial to do the job. We are looking for a colleague who can challenge us and be open-minded and curious when it comes to new tools, digitalization, and other improvements.

Because Hydro has sites around the country, you must have a driver's license.

Personal traits we will emphasize are structure, creativity, communication, flexibility, and the ability to stay focused while working in a high paced environment.

Hydro is heading in a new and exciting direction, and we depend on different perspectives to solve our tasks and meet customer needs. Building on our three core values – care, courage and collaboration – we target a high performing and sustainable work environment based on inclusion of our differences. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply for the position.

Please enclose a cover letter and copies of relevant academic transcripts, diplomas, certificates etc. Only applications received through our online system will be considered, not via e-mail. As part of our recruitment process, we use Semac for background checks.
