We are excited to share that we have introduced our innovative Noiler Birds to communities across Togo via empowerment programmes for rural women. This strategic step underscores our dedication to improving nutrition, empowering farmers, and particularly supporting women in agriculture throughout Africa. This initiative marks a significant advancement in transforming poultry farming across the continent. From July 17th to 19th, 2024, our team led by Dr. Sreenivasa Bharath, our GM, Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd., and Mr. Korede Afolabi, Head of the Noiler Business Unit, conducted extensive community sensitization programs across various communities in Togo. This initiative aimed not only to educate local residents on the economic and health benefits of raising Noiler Birds but also to provide hands-on training in backyard poultry farm techniques for a guaranteed healthy flock. In communities such as Soudou, Bafilo, Niamtougou, and Tchaoudjo, our efforts were warmly welcomed, recognizing the potential economic impact of Noiler Birds. Participants in these communities received hands-on training and essential resources, including Noiler birds and poultry feed, underscoring our commitment to empowering smallholder households across Africa. Specifically, in Soudou and Bafilo, a total of 60 participants were successfully trained, with 30 women benefiting from the Noiler bird’s starter package, each receiving 5 birds and 5kg of feed. Similarly, in Niamtougou, 54 participants, including 15 women, received a starter package of 10 birds and 10kg of feed each. In Tchaoudjo, 43 participants, including 30 women, were provided with 5 birds and 5kg of feed each during our training sessions. This introduction of Noiler Birds aligns with Amo Farm's broader mission to combat protein malnutrition sustainably across Africa. With their high yield and suitability for backyard farming, Noiler Birds are poised to enhance food security and nutrition across the continent.
