Public Relations Specialist

The central marketing team is a group within ManageEngine, dedicated to marketing world-class enterprise IT solutions, across 190 countries.


We are seeking a talented, self-motivated and dedicated PR and content executive to join our media relations team, and work on innovative PR campaigns and strategies.


This role will support various corporate communications functions including content writing, public relations, media relations, analysis, influencer relations, and customer advocacy. It offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about each of these responsibilities.


The candidate will have to accommodate overlapping work hours with the Indian time zone (IST)


Job Responsibilities

  • Working with the global PR team to amplify the share of voice in the local media - both new and traditional media
  • Tracking the trending technology and security topics in Malaysia and Southeast Asia
  • Contributing to writing script/ideation for video interviews, chats, podcasts, thought leadership articles, press releases, pitch notes and more
  • Experience in ghostwriting for executives
  • Localize our global content (articles, press releases, Q&As) and bring in the regional context. This includes re-purposing existing content, translating English content to local language, and/or reviewing content received from PR or translation agencies.
  • Maintaining and nurturing relationship with ManageEngine's media contacts.



Skills

  • Interested in pursuing a career within the corporate communication function
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Pre-existing relationships with journalists from IT, business, and mainline media
  • Research-oriented, and keen understanding of the IT/Technology Landscape
  • On top of relevant technology trends
  • Able to work independently with proper guidance and instructions
  • Ability to strategize and create content and messaging relevant to the target audience
  • Driven, motivated, self-starter who is eager to learn and grow as a corporate communications professional


Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in PR/content writing, marketing industry
  • Experience of working in corporate media relations or in a PR agency in the tech sector with good media contacts
  • Proven experience writing high-quality blogs and articles
  • Strategic thinker with creative and detailed executions skills, with an innate attention to detail
  • Possess a good understanding of our key markets in South-East Asia (namely Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand)
  • Able to manage time and multiple priorities with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
