We are thrilled to share the success of Petron Malaysia's HR Open Day! The event was a wonderful opportunity for engagement, learning, networking, and enjoying good food alongside our beloved Petronians.   With the theme of Blend & Build – Brewing Connection, we enjoy coffee while listening to talks by esteemed speakers & engaging in booth interactions with representatives from EPF, LHDN, Pusat Pungutan Zakat Kuala Lumpur (PPZKL), and healthcare specialists.   A heartfelt thanks to our HR team with representatives from Petron Kuala Lumpur Recreational Club, and the ExCITES Committee for their fantastic contributions to making the event lively while promoting our upcoming engagement programs.   We are grateful to everyone who attended and made this event a memorable one. Excited to share the success of our first in-house Diversity & Inclusion Meet & Greet Career Fair! In line with Petron Malaysia’s commitment to sustainability and equal employment opportunities, we launched this initiative with a focus on the PWD (Persons-With-Disabilities) community. A special thanks to EIS PERKESO for their invaluable assistance in sourcing these talents that demonstrates a collaborative effort and providing a platform for the talents to showcase their capabilities, giving us a first-hand look at their skills and potential. This event indeed was an eye-opener which raised our awareness on the availability of the PWD talent market and reinforced our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Thank you to everyone involved for making this event a resounding success!

Petron Malaysia, in collaboration with the Road Transport Department (JPJ) has successfully organised a road safety awareness campaign in Terengganu in conjunction with the recent Hari Raya Haji. We were honoured to have Yang Berusaha Tuan Ahmad Sallehhuddin bin Mat Nasir, Deputy Director of JPJ Terengganu, who joined us for the on-ground activations at Petron Bukit Payong.   JPJ provided some safety tips on preventing microsleep and distributed 100 children's helmets at selected Petron service stations. This initiative reinforced the importance of correct helmet usage while raising road safety awareness among motorists. Other partners, like NESQ and Carabao, contributed product samples and free drinks for customers at two stations, Petron Bukit Payong and Petron Batu Burok.   In addition, customers who stopped over at Petron Jalan Tengku Mizan, Petron Durian Burong, Petron Padang Nenas, and Petron Gong Badak were treated to drinks and snacks during their refuelling stop, use of our clean toilet and / or surau for prayer break.    Stay alert while on the road and refresh yourself when needed. Petron Malaysia has recently collaborated with the Selangor Department of Environment (DOE) for the first e-waste collection drive at Petron Rinching, Semenyih. It was jointly officiated by Selangor Public Health and Environment Exco YB Jamaliah Jamaluddin, DOE Selangor Director Nor Aziah binti Jaafar, and Petron Malaysia Head of Retail Business Shaliza Mohd Sidek.   The collaboration provides Petron's customers with easy and convenient collection points for e-waste disposal through our service station network, intending to inculcate sustainable practices of e-waste disposal in the community. The drive was supported by the residents in nearby Semenyih when they brought unwanted or obsolete electronics and electrical waste to the service station. TM Enviro Industries Sdn Bhd, the appointed DOE-licensed e-waste company for the event, exchanged the items for cash. According to Mr. Kanageshwaranabhan, more than 90% of e-waste can be re-purposed.   Besides the on-site drive at the service station, we have also called upon all employees from various locations, including the Kuala Lumpur Head Office and Port Dickson Refinery, to participate actively in this e-waste collection initiative. In conjunction with the World Environment Day, 45 dedicated Petron employees joined forces with Yayasan Hijau Malaysia (YHM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for a tree planting event. The objective is to enhance the carbon sequestration at our Green Lung, the 400 acres of conserved land within our Port Dickson Refinery (PDR). This collaborative effort supports the government's Greening Malaysia Programme, aiming to plant 100 million trees nationwide by 2025.   In total, we have planted 600 tree saplings across 1.5 hectares of dry lowland forest, comprising 20 diverse local species. Among the species planted are Merbau (Intsia palembanica), Meranti Tembaga (Shorea leprosula), Cengal (Neobalanocarpus heimeii) as well as fruit trees such as Asam Kandis (Garcinia xanthochymus) and Petai (Parkia speciosa), which are essential for wildlife habitat and sustenance.   Our goal extends beyond planting trees; we strive to spark a movement for biodiversity conservation and environmental enhancement, paving the way for a sustainable future.
