⚽ Futsal Challenge- Legends of The Court at Astro   Two incredible days filled with high-energy matches, spectacular goals, and incredible teamwork. Kudos to Team Astro who showcased their skills and sportsmanship on the field, as part of Astro Futsal Challenge engagement activity for employees.   We had 16 teams, with more than 100 of our Astro employees participated in this engaging event that was played at our very own Futsal court. From jaw-dropping goals to last-second saves, every match was a thrill ride. We even had our CEO, Euan Smith showing off some unexpected moves on the field, proving he's got game! A huge shoutout to all teams who participated including our Champion team for their impressive performance in the final.   We look forward to having more of such awesome engagement events to create great team spirit and camaraderie among Team Astro. After Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim honoured the champion of the Astro-NACSA (National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), Malaysia) Coding Challenge 2024 — Team CyberX from UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA PAHANG — the excitement continued. During the second round of the prize-giving ceremony at the Cyber Security Summit 2024 held at PICC today, our Group CEO, Euan Smith, was invited to the rostrum to share some inspiring thoughts. "Technology is neither good nor bad. Only using it makes it so,” he spoke, reminding the audience of the power and potential of technology by quoting a twist on Shakespeare. In a world where digital threats are ever-present, he highlighted the vital role of those who stand guard against these dangers. “We were thrilled by the quality of the solutions that have been brought to us by the apps that we have seen. “And the job now is let’s reward these guys, congratulate them for the job that they have done; tomorrow is, let’s scale this. “Let’s make what they have proposed; what they have done, a part of the landscape of this country so that we can protect the people better,” said Euan. At Astro we are delighted to support such initiatives and witness talent and dedication of young cybersecurity warriors.
