Reporting to the Honeywell UOP GlobalVP Sales, this position will be responsible for delivering and growing JapanESS to $250M+ in revenue orders and associated margin from technologylicensing, engineering, catalyst, adsorbents and high-performance specialtymaterials, equipment and other services to the refining, petrochemical, gasprocessing and manufacturing industries.

In this role, you will have asignificant impact on our business results, including revenue growth, costmanagement, operating income, transition projects, and customer satisfaction.Your leadership and strategic development skills will be crucial in driving thesuccess of the ESS business in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, define, clearly articulate, and implement an ESS growth plan, including appropriate potential New Product Introduction (NPI), and Break Through Initiatives (BTI) that target significant growth opportunities
  • Create and personally drive aggressive growthand strategy to ensure you meet or exceed pipeline, orders, revenue and profitobjectives
  • Establish an annual business plan and ensure business execution to meet or exceed annual revenue and orders, with a focus on cost of sales and services, and account receivables.
  • Design and implement an effective ESS Japan leadership team vision to ensure a 'One Honeywell' philosophy across the strategic business units to and manage the portfolio's success
  • Control cost and maximize productivity through the implementation of effective methods and standard processes/tools
  • Work collaboratively with the relevant High Growth Region and Government Relations teams in country
  • In collaboration with Strategic Marketing, identify regional trends & customer needs - define and execute organizational and business requirements to meet these needs.
  • Drive strategic cross functional collaboration to ensure delivery of projects to meet customers' expectations and develop channel selection strategies and channel management approaches to drive growth for Honeywell.
  • Manage the Japan sales forecast to ensure accuracy and alignment with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and provide accurate data to finance, supply chain and sales management monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction at a high level and promptly resolve customer issues
  • Lead by example in exhibiting and championing the Honeywell behaviors


Key Experience & Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Business, or other technical/analytical disciplines required
  • Minimum of 8+ years of leadership, strategy development and deployment, operations, business management
  • Sales and/or program management experience within the refining, petrochemical, chemical and/or gas processing industry is required

  • Extensive cross functional management experience with P&L accountability
  • Industry experience in Refinery, Petrochemical, Gas Processing and/or other manufacturing industries will be a candidate advantage
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across business units to prioritize actions and resources
  • Strong strategic skills with tactical execution when required
  • Ability to motivate and build high-performing teams
  • Ability to provide reliable judgment in complex situations
  • Entrepreneurial skills with a record of exceeding objectives
  • Provide timely and concise information to others and using clear and thoughtful oral and written communications to influence, negotiate and collaborate effectively; fluency in Japanese
  • Passion for executing sales plans for new business opportunities
  • Ability to travel 25% annually both domestically and internationally
