The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team is seeking for a program manager who drives further improvements in operational and inventory quality in our ever-expanding and evolving Amazon Fulfillment Center (FC).
ICQA consists of two teams: a local team which is responsible for operating quality control mechanisms in each FC, and a central team which manages ICQA operations across the network. This position belongs to the central team. The primary mission of the central team is to promote process standardization and automation in order to ensure that FCs operate efficiently and in compliance with laws, regulations, rules, and customer needs. As an ICQA Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects to develop quality assurance process, as well as deploying systems to ensure that each FC operates with the highest level of quality control. The team supports FCs in Japan by collaborating with development teams in the United States, Canada, EU, and India. Communicating effectively with the international stakeholders by emails and through conference calls is the key to success. You may travel domestically and internationally several times a year.
The most fulfilling part of being a member of ICQA central team is that you will get opportunities to lead large-scale projects to achieve better quality control and quality assurance. As ICQA Program Manager, you are expected to propose innovative solutions and/or ideas and rapidly puts them into practice. Japan's world-class quality is attracting attention from around the world. By exporting quality control mechanisms in place in Japan to the other countries, you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of oversea Amazon FCs. At the same time, you are also expected to relentlessly seek for the system solutions and/or best practices in place in the other countries and implement them in Japan FCs to further improve quality and efficiency. This is a very rewarding position where you can directly improve the customer experience through these efforts.

Become the owner of the ICQA's programs and take responsibility for achieving the goals.
Determine the actions to achieve the goals of the programs you are in charge of and manage the projects.
Collaborate with teams outside Japan to consider best practices and solutions to achieve the goals, and apply them to Japan.
Regularly share the status of the programs with stakeholders. If there are risks to achieving the goals, call them out and develop and implement actions to achieve them.
Inbound, Outbound, and ICQA are the three main processes in FC operation. In order to provide better customer experiences, it is critical to maintain a high-level operational quality in the FCs, which are close to our customers. ICQA's mission is to achieve defect-free operations from inbound process to outbound process by reducing product defects as well as associate defects through various initiatives such as work environment improvement, training, and coaching. By doing so, we are aiming at improving speed which products are ready for sale to customers, reduce operating costs, offer a wider selection of products, and reduce waste, thereby continuing to earn the trust of our customers. We’ve so far established various systems for our quality assurance and quality control, and have maintained the best quality among all Amazon FCs in the world. Our goal is to further evolve these mechanisms and create FCs, which can continuously provide customers with the highest customer experience in the world.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of program or project management experience
2+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
2+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
