Last week, our playtesting event brought the magic of Shopenkraft's Magic Goods to life, and we couldn’t be happier with the turnout. ✨🎮 Our community was transported to another realm where they could forge incredible weapons, brew potions that were either super powerful or... well, maybe a bit dangerous ☠️, craft all sorts of unique trinkets, and meet their fantastical customers face-to-face. Seeing everyone dive into the game and have so much fun was a real highlight for us. Huge thanks to everyone who joined in—you’re helping us shape something truly magical! ✨🎊🥳

Guess What? We Had Our First Ever Playtesting Event! 🎉 Last week we got together with local community members to take Ancient Allies Tower Defense for a spin. We traveled back to Ancient Rome and had a day full of epic battles, a little bit of strategic brainstorming, and tons of laughter! 🎮 Seeing you all play the game we've been working so hard on was an amazing feeling. Watching everyone enjoy themselves, getting into the game, and having a great time was truly rewarding for our whole team. Last week, we attended the incredible #ForTheWin conference 🎉🎮. The event was organized by the Serbian Games Association and kicked off on Wednesday evening and went on throughout the day on Thursday. It was a fantastic mix of presentations and networking opportunities. Our Game Designer & Producer Miljan, Lead Developer Danko, and Community Manager Stefan immersed themselves in the event and got some fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to bring back to our gaming studio. Below, we’ve highlighted some of the most memorable presentations and speakers from the event. 🎨Aleksander Rostov - “How to Construct an Art Style” Aleksander is a contemporary artist and an Art Director of one of our all-time favorite games - Disco Elysium. He took us to another world in his presentation where he went into detail about the creative process and journey through the art style construction. We were left inspired and in awe, and quite frankly, wanted to hear even more! 🛠️ Michael Movel - “A Crash Course in Design Success” Although Michael is currently a Design Director at Rovio, his career has taken him through King, Lionhead, and even Serbia’s very own Nordeus. He worked on designing hit games within various genres and monetization models and, although it’s still impossible to distill game design into a surefire formula, the advice and resources he offered were a great blueprint for the required frame of mind. As a studio that’s still getting its feet wet in designing our own IPs, we found the talk exceptionally useful. ⚖️ Elisa di Lorenzo - “Making Peace Between Creative Ambitions and Business Risks” Elisa, a co-founder of Untold Games, talked about her jack-of-all-trades studio and how they used versatile outsourcing work to eventually fund their own IPs. She also discussed how they designed their ambitious in-house game in a way that minimizes the risk of a failed investment. This business model is very similar to how our own studio seeks to operate, so it was highly motivating for us to see a living example of a company that made it work! 🌍 Nikola Stepković - “Highwater: Building a Mirror World” Nikola is an art director at Serbia’s own Demagog Studio. He spoke about their new game - Highwater - that came out earlier this year. More specifically, he took us on a journey through the concepts and inspirations that shaped their game, and how they influenced both the art direction and the game design itself. Nikola did an impressive job of illustrating how a healthy design process allows art and gameplay design decisions to build on each other and create an integrated result that’s more than the sum of its parts. The conference was an incredible experience overall. Our team gained valuable insights and fresh ideas for future projects—a definite success! We extend our gratitude to the Serbian Games Association and all the speakers for sharing their knowledge and expertise. We can’t wait for the next year’s event! 🎉📅
