4) Can you scale a pre-vetted talent agency?
- There are 10K+ recruitment agencies in India. They are all profitable but not scalable because they are manpower driven, without any USP and MOAT. Tech led vetting can increase the revenue/employee by 10x, making it scalable.
5) What is the USP?
- We provide talents vetted by a domain expert whose conversion rate is 20-30% compared to current 5-7%. Quality*Speed*Price of Hiring should be 5-10x better than existing ones. Unit Economics allow us to ship services much lower cost.

- Tech is a weak MOAT. Sourcing/Talent Supply Channels and Network Effect are definitely the strongest MOAT in this space. More on this later separately.
7) Why are marketplaces unable to solve the match-making problem?
- Skills taxonomy in India is a problem. JD doesn’t carry forward what lies in the mind of the hiring manager. Cultural fit is hard to match. Tech alone can’t make hiring decisions. Hence, a managed marketplace is a better choice which combines Artificial Intelligence + Human Intelligence. Best part about marketplaces is scalability with network effects.
