Our friendship fuels our growth, sparks creativity, and ensures we're always there for each other." Linda chimes in, "Todi and I have been friends for ages. I'm the goofball, and Ankita is the glue holding us together. We share a love-hate relationship, but Ankita is always the mediator." "We've tackled numerous projects together," Ankita adds. "From the Teej event for Plus to the development of Nach Baliye for Hotstar and Star Plus simultaneously, and the many Star Parivaar Awards. Our success comes from open idea-sharing and zero office politics. We recently tackled the huge Dance Plus project, and having each other's backs made all the difference. A group hug at 2 AM? Re-energized for the last mile!" Ankita recalls, "One night, we wrapped up a shoot really late. Todi was ready to leave with me but stopped and said, 'Oh, but Linda will be alone.' She stayed back to keep Linda company. That's us in a nutshell - always looking out for each other." "We do have our moments of competition," Aditi admits. "We watch each other's shows and have friendly rivalries, but we always acknowledge and celebrate each other's successes. Our discussions often go beyond work, delving into the future of non-fiction and career growth." Linda and Aditi both agree, "Ankita has been instrumental in shaping us without breaking us. Celebrating Friendship Day: Meet the Dynamic Duo - Ajay and Pallabi 🌟 This Friendship Day, we celebrate Ajay Yadav (Creative Communications, Hindi Movies and English Cluster) and Pallabi Pal (Programming Strategy and Insights, Hindi Movies and English Cluster), whose bond at Disney Star highlights the power of workplace friendships. Reflecting on their decade-long friendship, Pallabi mentions, "Even though we've known each other for ten years, it feels like a lifetime. The amount of time we spend together at work every day has only strengthened our bond." Ajay and Pallabi's friendship is a reflection of Disney Star's workplace culture. Ajay explains, "The reason I've stayed with this team for so long is simple: I wake up excited to go to work." Even on the rainiest days, they find comfort in sharing the experience together. "Work just happens naturally when you're friends," Pallabi adds, emphasizing how their deep-rooted friendship makes work feel effortless. Ajay recalls, "Even if Pallabi comes up with an idea that I don't agree with, there's no conflict. We respect each other's opinions and move forward." Mutual understanding, respect, and zero ego make their friendship strong. Just as they complete each other's sentences, Ajay and Pallabi complete each other's ideas. Pallabi shares, "It's like finishing each other's thoughts. Our ideas flow naturally, building on each other's creativity to create something extraordinary." Ajay and Pallabi have worked on many projects like #NoWhereElse for Star Gold HD, the Star Gold Select Campaign, English Cluster projects, and Star Gold Thrills, each one strengthening their bond. In the vast universe of Disney Star, where magic meets meticulous craftsmanship, there's a team that ensures every character speaks the right language and resonates with the right emotion. And guess what? I have the privilege of leading that team! I'm Ravindran, and my journey at Disney Star spans over 17 years. My story isn't just about the work I do; it's about the passion, creativity, and dedication that our entire team brings to the table every single day. Our mission? To ensure Disney characters maintain their integrity and charm across different languages and cultures. It's far more than just dubbing; it's about preserving the director's vision and the character's essence in every localized version. From Disney Pixar to Marvel, Star Wars to Disney Animation, our team handles it all with flair. I also worked on creating local animated shows for Disney Kids Network India, ranging from anthropomorphic stories of the soil like Simple Samosa and Bollywood-inspired parodies like Gaju Bhai to chase comedies like Bunty aur Billi and Eena Meena Dika. These shows did more than just entertain; they struck a chord with local audiences. One of my proudest moments? Rewriting the scripts for Aladdin and the Genie for the Hindi adaptation of Disney's Aladdin musical at the NCPA in Mumbai. Fueled by passion, I tackled the challenge, leading to packed theatres and rave reviews. Another highlight was localizing The Jungle Book for Indian audiences. With stars like Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan, the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions were a roaring success, setting a new benchmark in dubbing. I owe much of my success to Disney's collaborative and respectful culture. Even in our super creative environment, respecting boundaries and each team's expertise is key. This approach lets every department shine and contribute to our collective magic. I believe passion is the key to success. Without it, creativity and excellence are impossible.
