There are currently 33 seriously injured players registered with the Charitable Trust in Ireland, most of whom are wheelchair bound and have some form of permanent paralysis. The Irish Rugby Football Union Charitable Trust was formed in 1978 to assist severely injured rugby players in their everyday lives, and help to restore their confidence and independence. There are currently 33 seriously injured players registered with the Charitable Trust in Ireland, most of whom are wheelchair bound and have some form of permanent paralysis. As a Corporate Patron, businesses are given the opportunity to network with many other businesses throughout the year while at the same time fulfilling an important element of their Corporate Social Responsibility in supporting this great cause. As a Corporate Patron of the IRFU Charitable Trust, companies benefit on a business, social and charitable basis. Networking opportunities as a Patron include exclusive invitations to our regular Business Breakfasts - a series of networking events, which offers you the chance to meet business leaders and decision makers, and meet some great rugby personalities. Also included are: • Social and Business events throughout the year • Use of the IRFU CT Corporate Patron Identity – Logo • Raising the profile of your Corporate Social Responsibility • Corporate events for your client hospitality needs • Acknowledgement of becoming a patron, through PR or social media • Your Company will feature on “our patrons” page with a link to your company website • Opportunities to Sponsor networking events • Opportunity to meet with members of Irish teams, past & present • Receive regularly updates on the fantastic work been done • Give something back to the local community and support injured players • An opportunity to meet like-minded rugby orientated people • Specially commissioned gifts (free of charge) • Invitation to attend exclusive annual dinner at privileged rates • Quarterly Newsletter and information on all events • A tax deductible contribution To name but a few! -Naas RFC is an AIL 1B Senior Club. My term as Club Chairman ran throughout the 2013 - 2015 seasons. We have an estimated 1200 active participants in the club including excess of 650 Minis & Youths which places Naas RFC as one of the largest clubs in Ireland in this section.
