Growing together.   We recently announced a new partnership with Crann - Trees for Ireland for Ireland, aimed at planting 100,000 trees in Ireland over the next ten years. This initiative reinforces our commitment to environmental sustainability and the importance of afforestation in Ireland. In addition, we aim to reduce paper usage in our branded packaging by over 50%, ensuring that customers can continue to enjoy the experience of their branded bags while supporting a sustainable future.    From August 6th, a €0.60 charge will be applied to all branded paper carrier bags in Brown Thomas, BT2 and Planet Beauty stores, with all profits from this initiative being invested in planting trees in Ireland.   We invite our customers to join us in our mission to reduce paper usage and drive positive change for all.

Announcing the Winner of the Brown Thomas Arnotts ‘Designer to Watch’ Bursary Award 2024! We are delighted to reveal that National College of Art & Design fashion design student Dennis Lawless from Co. Offaly has been named as this year’s winner of the Brown Thomas ‘Designer to Watch’ Bursary Award 2024. As the winner of this year’s award, Dennis will receive a bursary worth €4,000; the opportunity to display his collection in CREATE 2024 at Brown Thomas, a showcase of Ireland’s emerging design talent; and mentorship by the Brown Thomas executive team. Darren Feeney, Head of Art Direction and Creative at Brown Thomas Arnotts, expressed his excitement said: "We are so happy to work with NCAD for the ninth annual bursary prize, celebrating the amazing and new design talent in Ireland. It's always inspiring to see the innovative creations from the NCAD students each year. This year, the creativity was exceptional, and Dennis Lawless’s collection instantly caught our attention. His presentation, from the photoshoot to the storytelling, was thoughtful and well-done. We can't wait to welcome him to our store for CREATE 2024." We are proud to support the next generation of fashion designers and are looking forward to featuring Dennis's work at CREATE 2024 in July. Congratulations, Dennis! We are excited to see your collection come to life in our store. #CREATE2024 #ReinventingRetail

We were delighted to say 'céad míle fáilte' to the participants of the IGDS Global High Potential Programme 2024 earlier this month! It was wonderful to have such a talented group of representatives from department stores around the world join us in Dublin, and we look forward to hearing more about their innovative ideas later this year. #ReinventingRetail

175 years of extraordinary, 175 years of celebrating fashion, beauty, innovation, and unforgettable moments. To celebrate, we have created an exhibition space to highlight some of the key moments in the history of our business.   Watch behind the scenes as the team bring this vision to life, pulling inspiration from Norah McGuinness who designed windows for Brown Thomas during her incredible career. #BrownThomas175 #ReinventingRetail #BTACreative

We caught up with Irish pop-artist in her Dublin pop-up to discuss the inspiration behind her bespoke designs to mark our 175th anniversary.
