A Thousand Mangrove Seeds to Celebrates World Environment Day 🌱 On June 10th, 2024 PT ECCO Tannery Indonesia had the opportunity to join the East Java Province Environmental Agency planting 1000 mangrove seeds in Watu Mejo Mangrove, Pacitan, East Java. Mangroves are not only important for coastal ecosystems but also reduce carbon emissions and protect coastlines from erosion, as well as habitat for marine biota. The collection of 1000 seeds is supported by our employees through an activity called Miles for Green 2024. Every kilometer earned from cycling, running and walking activities is converted into mangrove seeds. It's inspiring to see everyone committed and enthusiastic about preserving the environment for future generations. At PT ECCO Tannery Indonesia, we are dedicated to find ways to minimize our environmental footprint. One of our initiatives to sustainability is using recycled pallets. These pallets are reprocessed from scrap plastic and proven to be durable for multiple use, thus extending the life cycle of the pallets and reducing waste.
