Research Officer / Assistant Research Officer (Fieldwork)

Requirements

  • Tertiary education / degree or above
  • 4-6 years’ research fieldwork and fieldwork supervision experience
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Good command of Chinese & English
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Chinese word processing
  • Knowledge of data coding
  • Strong sense of responsibility, proactive, detail-minded, logical, positive and cooperative attitude
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Able to work overtime, irregular hours, and during Saturdays, Sundays & public holidays

Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage fieldwork supervision, manpower, logic checks, quality control for various types of indoor and outdoor fieldworks, to ensure smooth execution and achieve sample targets
  • Conduct recruitment of part-time workers and provide training to them
  • Recruit respondents and schedule interviews
  • Conduct face-to-face or telephone interviews and interviews via other channels, in different approaches (including quantitative and qualitative)
  • Execute data coding, entry, cleaning, and validation
  • Conduct observation and desk research
  • Support to work with the team to prepare research reports or presentations
  • Work on the administrative work, and documentation properly (including file fieldwork, quality check, and research records)
  • Support ad-hoc tasks

(Candidates with less experience will be considered for Assistant Research Officer.)
