The Department

The Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business strategy and results for the Club through the wagering products of Horse Racing (Local and Overseas), Football, Mark Six lottery and International Commingling with the aim to drive wagering turnover and revenue growth in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.

The job holder is responsible for Product Ownership with the upcoming multi-sport offering with different business users, IT and other external vendors to accomplish project objectives (New Sportsbook planning, selection and delivery).

The Job

You will

  • Assume the Product Owner role to drive the planning, selection and delivery of the multi-sport offering
  • Prepare the product requirements for the future multi-sports (primarily basketball) including product features, service levels and customer experience
  • Assist the Chief Product Owner to model the way of wagering operations for future multi-sport offering with internal operations teams
  • Responsible for defining, and writing Epics/User Stories which include defining the acceptance criteria and prioritizing the Product Backlog for the future sportsbook
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Scrum Meetings, Review, Retrospective and Backlog Refinement
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external parties to execute testing, implementation and product launches. Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare business agreements and/or contracts
  • Work with supervisors to develop realistic and comprehensive work plan; keep track of work progress, identify new tasks and dependencies, monitor risks and issues throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s businesses
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager


About You

You should have

  • A Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 8 years' hands-on product management experience with proven track record of successfully developing excellent products within deadlines
  • Solid working experience within an agile team on product implementation; certified product owner or scrum master is a plus
  • Experience in building or using a sportsbook is an advantage
  • Product Owner and Agile software development certification preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster a productive working environment for cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (English and Chinese)
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders. Easily understand people idea and turn it into action
  • Self-motivated, resilient and a team player
  • Advanced MS Office applications skills required including PowerPoint, Excel and Project
  • Experience in Atlassian products, Jira, Confluence and Miro board would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of sports preferred
