【Melo supports World Vision’s Secondhand Book Charity Sale 2024】 Melo members Nicole Hui, Julius Choy, Shirley Yao, Chloe Cheung, Athena Yeung, Yanice So, Joy Ng, Shahman Ali and Yat Yin Chan volunteered for World Vision’s Secondhand Book Charity Sale on July 21, 2024! The funds raised will support local programs for grass-roots children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their families in Hong Kong. It’s a wonderful way to give back to the community while also promoting sustainability ♻️. World Vision Hong Kong recent Used Book Recycling Campaign at Citywalk 2 in Tsuen Wan (July 12-22, 2024) raised funds to support local programs such as play therapy, counseling, community inclusion festivals, and more - all designed to create an environment that enables SEN children to learn and thrive, while promoting social inclusion. “As a volunteer, I’m grateful to see people selecting books 📚 they’re excited to read, giving old volumes new life. Every recycled book also helps raise vital funds for SEN education programs in our community. These kids deserve every chance to learn and thrive, and your donated books can make a real difference.
