We are delighted to host a group of 45 local secondary school students at Matilda International Hospital yesterday, accompanied by the HKUMed's team and undergraduate students. This visit gave these teenagers a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the dynamic field of healthcare, aiming to inspire them as the next generation of medical professionals. Greeted by our CEO, Linda Burgoyne, the students attended a doctor-led sharing session and toured our hospital. They explored our advanced medical facilities and gained behind-the-scenes insights into the medical profession. At Matilda, we are committed to nurturing young talent and equipping them with the knowledge and experience needed to pursue a career in medicine. Open communication with our colleagues has always been a priority at Matilda International Hospital. In line with this objective, this past Wednesday we held a town hall meeting where our CEO, Linda Burgoyne, along with other management team members, provided updates on the latest developments within the organisation, celebrated our shared successes, and looked ahead to exciting new projects. It was also an excellent opportunity for colleagues from different departments to come together, fostering a sense of community and an open workplace culture. We are incredibly proud of our milestone achievement last September, when Matilda International Hospital was awarded the 'Outstanding Achievement' in the ACHS International Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (7th Edition) (EQuIP7), including the Advanced Person-Centered Systems (PCS) Module, by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards. What makes this recognition even more special is that, to this day, we remain the FIRST and ONLY organization among ACHS International members to receive this remarkable accreditation. This speaks volumes about our unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare and our pioneering efforts in quality improvement and patient-centered care. Our journey doesn't stop here.
