At #DCH, we’re always looking for fun ways to encourage sustainable living at the office.   Recently, we partnered with Outdoor Wildlife Learning Hong Kong (OWLHK) to host an interactive sharing session focused on biodiversity. ☘️ OWLHK’s Ecology expert Janice Lo, alongside her team, shared the importance of looking after Hong Kong’s wildlife habitats and invited staff members to join in a biodiversity-themed board game. Temperatures are soaring in Hong Kong, and it’s time for #DCH’s SummerFest! To help our dedicated team cool off and stay energized during this scorching season, we gave away over 3,000 refreshing drinks to colleagues across our DCH Headquarters and satellite offices.   From office staff to mechanics, security guards to management - everyone enjoyed the welcome respite. Whether they chose the thirst-quenching five-flower tea, refreshing coconut water, delicious silver chrysanthemum tea, or soothing sugarcane drink, smiles and relief were abundant. 🥤😊   But it wasn’t just about hydration; it was about fostering camaraderie. Today, the Paris Olympics officially kick off – and we’re feeling the buzz 🎉#DCH is thrilled to announce that Wilson Ngai, senior technical engineer from Group Digital and Technology at DCH, will represent Hong Kong, China, in Archery at the Paralympic Games. 🇭🇰🎯   We hosted a pep rally in honor of Wilson and his remarkable athletic journey. At the rally, colleagues reveled in an exhilarating Olympic quiz and indulged in delightful snacks and drinks. Our management team went the extra mile by creating heartfelt video messages for Wilson, alongside members from different departments who were also invited to show their unwavering support! 🎊   But that’s not all! We also held a floor curling competition for our colleagues, immersing them in the Olympic fever. #DCH was awarded the "Excellence in Human Resources", "Excellence in Community Care", and "Excellence in Innovative Digital After-sales Services" awards at "Hong Kong Economic Times Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony 2024". One out of eight people in Hong Kong is a carrier of Thalassemia (地中海貧血), a hereditary blood disorder that leads to lower-than-normal hemoglobin production. As part of our commitment to the health of our community and #DCH colleagues, we’ve initiated a series of events throughout the month to both raise funds and increase awareness about the genetic defect.   We first partnered with the Children’s Thalassemia Foundation to host a seminar with a medical specialist that promoted the importance of thalassemia testing amongst our staff. Over 50 of our staff members attended virtually and gained life-changing knowledge!   To further support the Foundation’s mission of improving the lives and health of patients across Hong Kong, we participated in the “Dress RED for Thalassemia” campaign last Friday. Our management team and employees donned vibrant red clothing and accessories, contributing to the cause by purchasing campaign pins. Overall, we sold more than 50 pins across offices, and we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all #DCHers for their active involvement and generous donations! #DressRED #ThalassemiaAwareness #CommunityOutreach #DahChongHong

In the recent Dragon Boat Festival, #DCH spread the spirit of caring the community through our “Tuen Ng Love and Care Volunteering" event! Our volunteer team, alongside their family members and friends, wrapped over 60 traditional rice dumplings to send to the children in Po Leung Kuk Small Group Home. The Dragon Boat Festival is upon us, and you know what that means— rice dumplings (zong) time! At #DCH, we’re all about preserving traditions. So, we rolled up our sleeves and invited a chief to teach our staff the techniques of wrapping both savory pork rice dumplings and sweet bean rice dumplings. The chief shared the secrets of making that perfect triangle shape of zong, and soon our office buzzed with laughter and camaraderie. These little parcels of joy aren’t just food; they’re a taste of tradition, ready to be shared with family and friends.     Happy Dragon Boat Festival, from the #DCH team 🐲 

Today, we held a tie-dye workshop at the #DCH Headquarters to get the office into the summer spirit! Professional crafters were on hand to guide over 40 staff members through intricate tie-dye techniques. Those who joined were invited to decorate handkerchiefs, hairbands, bucket hats, and tote bags with bursts of vibrant color, and take home with their own unique designs. Our employees had a blast unleashing their creativity and updating their wardrobes for the hot summer months 🌞   #HappyFriday #SummerSpirit #EmployeeEngagement

At #DCH, we’re proud to support our community in every way possible. To help replenish Hong Kong’s blood supply again, we held another blood donation drive at our #DCH Headquarters this May!   Over 50 members of #DCH staff, as well as our leaders and management team, lent a helping hand, and arm, to donate blood and maintain a stable blood supply for the city. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who joined for their kindness and generosity ❤️ The Hong Kong Red Cross requires 1,100 blood donors daily to meet patient needs across the city, who are supplied with 400,000 units of blood every year – that’s enough to fill almost 800 bathtubs!Do you want to support your community and donate blood?
