Symbolic activities are organised which focus people's attention to the clean air issue and mobilise various sectors to act. 2) Since Covid, CAN has been navigating to engage with the public in HK effectively. After the experience from the "On Air" project last year, we think it is a good timing to do something broader, thus we are so happy to bring the concept to HK. 3) 2023 is probably just the beginning! Through this Clean Air Day platform, we would like to significantly arouse awareness among the general public and widely among various sectors on air quality issues in a 3-year roadmap. 4) How's the outcome look like? Clean air is such an all-rounded issue and interconnected with environment, social, health, education, energy, technology disciplines. Based on the awareness activities conducted, we think it is easier for further collaboration to take place across sectors in future. - - More about the theme of this year - "Breathe Right" - - 5) The theme of Clean Air Day 2023 is "Breathe Right". It carries two layers of meaning - learn to breathe correctly, and the right to clean air. 6) As HK aspires to build a more inclusive society, the right to breathe clean air and right to health should be recognised as a top priority. 7) It probably also worth our time to put our attention on the fact that there are still a wide range of vulnerable groups, including the children, elderly, chronic patients and the other underprivileged groups, who are more affected by air pollution. 8) Are we doing enough and quick enough to reduce the risk the vulnerable and all of us exposed to? Despite the improvement of air quality achieved in recent years, HK still needs to do more to clean air.
