On Friday, August 30th, we hosted the Zutari Women Thinking Hat Panel Discussion to close out Women's Month. The event was held under the theme "Invest in women: Accelerate progress," aligning with the global campaign of generation equality to promote gender equality by 2030. Our panel was led by our Business Analyst, Nozuko Mpunzi (née Nkumanda) , and featured esteemed leaders, including Monique Ngcobo, Dr Ngao Motsei , Althea Discala CA (SA), MBA, Dr Mareli Botha, and Rowland Burke. We're excited to announce that our Zandvliet Wastewater Treatment Works Upgrade project won the Mega Projects category award for projects over R1 billion at the 2024 CESA Aon Awards! This upgrade, a joint effort with Zutari and the City of Cape Town, expands capacity and introduces a pioneering resource recovery approach, including biogas-to-power technology. This project significantly enhances water quality and drought resilience, promotes sanitation and economic growth, improves working conditions, and utilises advanced treatment technology. The PAIX DKR1 Senegal 21 has been awarded the Best International Projects prize at the 2024 CESA Aon Engineering Excellence Awards.
