Welcome to the Innovation Generation (iG), where smarter networks spark brighter innovation.

À propos

Each mobile generation delivers more—data, devices, efficiency, opportunity. But tapping into the full potential of Telco networks requires a shift in thinking, focusing not simply on what networks can do today, but what we can build with them tomorrow. At Capgemini, we see networks as both the backbone of operations and the digital foundation from which innovation flourishes. It is at this intersection where we meet clients, helping them conquer complexity and inefficiency to unlock the next generation of digital solutions that can accelerate transformation.

Super energized after meeting senior clients and our incredible teams across India in the last couple of weeks! It is great to see how Capgemini India is powering innovation and sustainability in the Telecom Industry...and is truly an engine for growth for our group.   Sharing a few snippets from my visit: Engine for growth: - Strategic role - India is playing an increasingly strategic role for our group and represents > 50% of Capgemini’s total workforce. - Engineering - Capgemini Engineering (remember Altran/Aricent!), with huge presence in India, is one of the oldest, largest and extremely innovative practices that develops cutting-edge products and provides end-to-end solutions. Great to see our global delivery centres and labs in Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore. - Digital Customer Experience (DCX) Foundry – Awesome to get a first-hand view of this dynamic environment for ideation, innovation, and incubation. Innovation: - 5G Lab – This lab in Mumbai has inspired 200+ clients across the industries on how 5G enabled solutions could solve their business challenges. - 6G research lab – we are prototyping solutions, leveraging next-generation connectivity, silicon technologies and advanced AI. Excellent to hear about our collaboration with King’s College London to solve complex technical issues inherent in future 6G implementations. - Applied Innovation Exchange (AIE) - This brings to life innovation in real business scenario by bringing together startups, partners and our experts. Really excited to interact with our AIE teams in Hyderabad and Mumbai.   Sustainability: - Energy Command Centre – This centre in Bangalore not only provides a real-time monitoring and control of the energy in our campuses in India…but also provides a platform to help our clients optimise their energy consumption for a cleaner future. - Telecom Network Sustainability - Our team in India drove Project Bose, a ground breaking Network Sustainability solution for intelligent energy optimisation…delivering tangible energy reduction for our clients. - Renewable energy - It is remarkable to note that nearly all Capgemini offices in India now operate on 100% renewable energy. Amazing to see the onsite renewable energy generation facility at our Mumbai campus. I strongly encourage our Telecom clients, who have plans to visit India in the coming months, to visit our offices. Please feel free to give me a shout…we will be delighted to share our experiences, showcase our capabilities and explore how to solve your most pressing challenges. #FiberOptic network expansion plans are influenced by diverse external factors, including municipality permits, approvals, field worker availability, and weather conditions. Companies must first be able to pinpoint where, how, and why issues may arise to get ahead of potential delays. This was precisely the challenge faced by GlasfaserPlus GmbH, a joint venture of Deutsche Telekom and IFM Global Infrastructure Fund. While in the process of rolling out next-gen internet service to the whole of Germany, GlasfaserPlus needed a way to swiftly review, classify, and document information that could indicate construction delays. In our most recent client story, we explore how the GlasfaserPlus team engaged us to develop a GenAI-enabled system to convert unstructured #data, extract the most critical information, and provide employees with access to insights that would help them rapidly and effectively predict delays to fiber optic expansion projects. Check out the full client story to learn more about how #GenAI is helping companies like GlasfaserPlus solve their most pressing challenges: https://bit.ly/4bZC1ca Florian Schwarz || Philipp R. Our latest study reveals that while implementation of #generativeAI in software organizations is at an early stage, it is expected to accelerate sharply. 📈 A majority of Telecom organizations (86%) see enablement of innovative work as a top benefit from generative AI but very few (~3%) use generative AI for software engineering. Currently, adoption (including pilots) is expected to increase significantly in next two years from 46% of software workforce using #GenAI tools today (for all kinds of use with authorized or unauthorized access) to an estimate of 85% in 2026. Our #telco leader Praveen Shankar shares some key takeaways from #DTW in Copenhagen https://lnkd.in/dJ_3CzuW

Fantastic week at #dtw in Copenhagen – great energy, collaboration, innovation and ideas again this year. It was excellent to meet with clients, partners and Capgemini colleagues…and exchange ideas. The insights from TM Forum's talks and sessions were thought provoking. My key takeaways:   1. AI Native Telco – This was a prominent feature across all tracks. TM Forum’s theme for DTW Ignite, emphasized the need to reimagine the end-to-end Telco operations as AI-native. Great to see that the use cases were having a good balance of cost reduction and growth. To stay competitive, the Telecom industry must move from ambition to large scale execution in this area.   2. Autonomous Networks – Networks, the most important asset of Telecommunications, is being reimagined to operate seamlessly without human intervention - automatically responding to increased demand, adapting to failures with corrective measures, and reconfiguring when necessary…helping lower operational costs while improving performance. Great to see the progress in realising this vision. 3. Ecosystems – The business systems are becoming even more complex. The requirement is now to become more agile with a plug and play ecosystem and increase flexibility across all areas. Building deep partnerships to form an efficient ecosystem is not an option and TM Forum's Open Digital Architecture (ODA) was in focus here.   The above are very much aligned to Capgemini Telecommunication team’s drive around iG (Innovation Generation), launched this year, that underscores the importance of agility and innovation, unlocking the value of technology and AI to accelerate transformation and growth…beyond just focusing on the next “G” network.   Congratulations to Nik Willetts and the entire TMF team for this successful event.   Thanks to our Capgemini team, especially Julia von Both for leading this from our side. Hello from Copenhagen! We’re looking back at three exhilarating days at the Digital Transformation World (DTW) packed with inspiring talks, meeting clients and partners and enjoying the buzz on the show floor. As always, it was excellently organized by TM Forum catering to all our needs in a scandic “hyggelig” manner and bringing together the voices of the #telco industry to discussing the most trending topics around driving growth with #GenAI & #AI, gaining speed with #AutonomousNetworks and becoming more agile with the growing ecosystem.   We’ve enjoyed many riveting conversations and excellent coffee at our Capgemini Café, listened to the inspiring session moderated by Camille Juguet on “How GenAI enhances #CustomerExperiences to drive Business Growth” and enjoyed the relaxed networking #dtw is always offering.   Thank you TM Forum, we’ll be back soon!
