#FiberOptic network expansion plans are influenced by diverse external factors, including municipality permits, approvals, field worker availability, and weather conditions. Companies must first be able to pinpoint where, how, and why issues may arise to get ahead of potential delays. This was precisely the challenge faced by GlasfaserPlus GmbH, a joint venture of Deutsche Telekom and IFM Global Infrastructure Fund. While in the process of rolling out next-gen internet service to the whole of Germany, GlasfaserPlus needed a way to swiftly review, classify, and document information that could indicate construction delays. Our latest study reveals that while implementation of #generativeAI in software organizations is at an early stage, it is expected to accelerate sharply. 📈 A majority of Telecom organizations (86%) see enablement of innovative work as a top benefit from generative AI but very few (~3%) use generative AI for software engineering. Currently, adoption (including pilots) is expected to increase significantly in next two years from 46% of software workforce using #GenAI tools today (for all kinds of use with authorized or unauthorized access) to an estimate of 85% in 2026.
