The WCA - World Congress of Audiology, a global conference dedicated to audiology and hearing science held every two years, is in Paris this year for the first time since 1974! Manuel Pariente, Pulse Audition’s CEO & Co-founder, will be presenting the Pulse Frames to the congress during the “Innovation in Audiology” pitch series on Saturday 21 September. We’re thrilled to have this opportunity to present our speech enhancement technology to such an influential crowd in the global audiology community, and have a chance to win the prestigious WCA Innovation Award.

🗣️ As we always say: Enhance the speech, not the noise. But how do you train AI-based speech enhancement algorithms so that all background noise is ignored in everyday life situations? We’ve been co-organizing a semi-supervised speech enhancement challenge to advance the research that improves performance by leveraging large volumes of real recordings. The results that compare real subjective listening tests and objective evaluation are finally out : congrats to Léonie Borne, PhD and Manuel Pariente for this paper ! 👏👏

🚀 We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Yaakoub to the Pulse Audition team as an Embedded AI Engineer! Get to know him a little better: 🔧 During past work at Dolphin Design, he developed a toolchain for deploying Deep Learning onto highly power-constrained edge accelerators. 🎓 He has a Master’s degree in Embedded Systems and Electronics, and studied Computer Science at 42’s Lyon School. 💡 He is a continuous learner, has a curious spirit, and is passionate about tech innovations! ⛷️ A sports enthusiast, he has a special spot for skiing in his heart. “I'm really excited about the prospect of helping the Pulse Audition's team achieve their goal of enabling people to have crystal-clear speech perception in noisy environments. Yesterday we participated in the regional developer’s tech conference, Riviera DEV - Sophia Antipolis - France ! It was a perfect opportunity to meet future Pulse Frames users in our region to give them live demos of our speech enhancement technology, and build more connection with the software development ecosystem in the French Riviera.
