First presented during Paris Fashion Week in 2023 and now coming to our hometown of Copenhagen during the SS25 Fashion Week, our KAFFEBAR concept has our vision of circularity and sustainability at its very centre. Deadstock fabrics, offcuts, and samples are still common in today's fashion industry and while all of our Blue Belief denim is crafted from preferred materials (certified organic or recycled) and with verified low-impact technologies, we still face challenges with limiting the excess fabrics that come with creating our denim pieces. As part of our ambition towards sustainability, we are constantly looking for ways to reduce waste and promote circularity, which is why we have collaborated with set-designer Fatima Fransson to give these jeans a new life and purpose. The result is a set of upcycled furniture that showcases our commitment to doing better, but also serves as a means of bringing our community together in the KAFFEBAR space to foster new connections and creative conversations.

Our long-standing collaboration with Musik i Lejet entered its next season as we visited the festival with members of our community in July. Both our Samsøe Samsøe bar and our very own Ping Pong table made a return this year to provide cold drinks and exciting matches during the three days of music, dancing, and fun in scenic Tisvildeleje.

We have recently established a new partnership with Carbonfact, a company that has been created to support fashion businesses in the tracking and subsequent reduction of their environmental footprint. We believe that, together, we can make our reporting more accurate and holistic to accelerate Samsøe Samsøe’s sustainability journey and ultimately reduce our emissions.
We’re excited to announce our partnership with Samsøe Samsøe, an international fashion brand with Scandinavian roots that is headquartered in Copenhagen. We’re happy to be working with Femme van Gils, CSR Manager at Samsøe Samsøe, on reducing the brand’s environmental impact. Looking to establish a strong system for gathering data and boosting the precision and ease of their environmental reporting, Samsøe Samsøe will conduct its full upcoming GHG report with Carbonfact. Together, we have already assessed 1500 products for their 2023 report and we will continue to support the company in optimising their ambitious Sourcing and Materials Strategy – whilst also structuring a strong baseline for the reporting year. We are looking forward to contributing to Samsøe Samsøe’s sustainability journey.

SAMSØE SAMSØE IN’TRE’DUCTION Get to know our employees in this series for which we ask them three (“tre” in Danish) questions. Meet Victor Bohn, Key Account Coordinator, who’s based in our Warehouse Office in Glostrup. How did you end up at Samsøe Samsøe? As a matter of fact, I actually studied to become a school teacher. However, after a couple of years teaching, I wanted to try something else. I had been working in fashion before and wanted to get back into the industry, this time in an administrative role. This, eventually, led me to an open position at Samsøe Samsøe as Office Trainee, which is where my journey with the company started. What do you like about working at Samsøe Samsøe? In Samsøe Samsøe, you get the opportunity to try out lots of things if you want to. You’re not put into a box of fixed assignments. You also don’t feel stuck in your position, you can try something else if you’d like to. That’s what I experienced when I finished my trainee program after 2 years: I was able to switch to a whole different position, that I found more suiting for me. What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work? Whenever I have the opportunity, I spend my free time with my daughter, which is my favourite pastime. However, occasionally I like going to the stadium and watch my favourite football team play. I go with my dad and brother and we all have a season pass, so we’re there for all the home games. I love experiencing the great atmosphere with the two of them.

For the lead-up to Paris Fashion Week and the weeks after, we collaborated with our long-term partner, Galeries Lafayette, to shine a special light on our modern sunglasses with an exclusive pop-up at their Haussmann location. Following last year's successful launch of this category in our own stores, this collaboration presented the perfect opportunity to introduce and showcase our extended range of frames at the iconic department store.

SAMSØE SAMSØE IN’TRE’DUCTION Get to know our employees in this series for which we ask them three (“tre” in Danish) questions. Meet Klara Gro, Retail Manager Sweden, Norway, and Finland, who is based in our HQ in Copenhagen. How did you end up at Samsøe Samsøe? My time at Samsøe Samsøe started in 2019 in one of our stores, where I was hired as an Assistant Store Manager. I ended up managing different stores for two years and helped wherever and whenever I could. In 2021, I got the offer to become Retail Manager for the stores in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium, and the Netherlands, which was quite a mouthful. However, knowing I would get all the support needed, I accepted the offer. What do you like about working at Samsøe Samsøe? When visiting stores, I experience the great opportunities for development at Samsøe Samsøe. I see a lot of staff in the stores growing into bigger responsibilities and positions, and I love seeing them go through the same journey as I did. Not so long ago, I experienced one of my store managers in the Netherlands grow into a similar position to mine and take over some of my regions, which felt very rewarding. What's your favourite thing to do outside of work? It means a lot to me to be able to go for long runs, spend time outside the city in nature, and take a swim in the morning. Family is a very big part of my life, and I especially value my role as an aunt to my nephew. My boyfriend is German which means that I have also gained an extended family in Germany whom we enjoy visiting “back home”. And when we're not travelling to visit family, we are very keen to go on spontaneous trips all around Europe.

Today we share our 2023 Sustainability Report. The accountability and transparency of our operations and supply chain are incredibly important to us, making it crucial that, in our annual reports, we not only highlight our achievements but also touch on our challenges. Only by doing so can we be open and honest about where we are and where we want to go. The latest report details our 2023 progress relating to our Footprint, Product, Supply Chain, and Culture, with a strong focus on highlighting our commitment towards our strategic pillars: Material Sustainability, Traceability, Supply Chain Accountability, and Circularity. You can find the report in full on our website: https://lnkd.in/dqDkm2rJ

SAMSØE SAMSØE IN’TRE’DUCTION Get to know our employees in this series for which we ask them three (“tre” in Danish) questions. Meet Simeon Solarsky, IT Operations Lead, who’s located between our HQ in Copenhagen and our Warehouse in Glostrup. How did you end up at Samsøe Samsøe? Initially, I moved to Denmark to study at DTU 13 years ago. In connection with my studies, I joined a retail organisation in which I ended up working for ten and a half years. After that, I swore that I wouldn’t work in the retail industry again. However, it just so happened that a great opportunity at Samsøe Samsøe showed up in 2021, so I ended up joining yet another retail organisation. What do you like about working at Samsøe Samsøe? Making decisions and executing them takes far less steps than what I’ve experienced before. If we find a solution that we think will benefit the company, we’ll run a business case with the benefits and costs. If this case turns out positive, the amount of time before the solution is executed is very short, which I really love about working here. What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work? I’m really into flying remote airplanes and drones. Anything with radio control, basically. My professional hobby, as I call it is photography, which I’m really passionate about. It’s mostly wildlife photography but also other things like city photography. I even tried doing some weddings, but it wasn’t my thing. Too many expectations.

Taking inspiration from his childhood memories of summers spent by the Italian seaside, our capsule collection presents the characteristic illustrations and handwriting of the creative. From sun umbrellas to a declaration of love for summer, the drawings present themselves on a unisex range of T-shirts, tote bags, and baseball caps which, together, embody the very essence of summer and make up perfect looks for warm days.

In order to celebrate the launch of our new Pre-Autumn 2024 collection, we gathered some of our friends and family at Restaurant Alex in Oslo on Tuesday evening. While we were founded and are based in Copenhagen, we have always had a special relationship with Oslo – the city where our first flagship store outside of Denmark opened in 2010. It was therefore a pleasure to come to a place that holds so much meaning for us and spend an evening here in good company as well as seeing our latest styles in action, providing the perfect looks for this summer occasions.
