This weekend’s padel tournament is one of many social activities at Orifarm, Odense, where employees meet in clubs or at events to enjoy spending time with one another around sports and hobbies. The padel tournament is organized completely on colleagues’ own initiative and is the second time it has been held, and again, Odense-colleagues proved it to be a success. Among other social activities are a running club, knitting club, biking club, virtual baking, etc. Through these clubs, colleagues establish social bonds outside of work, contributing to our purpose of creating Healthy Days by keeping our colleagues active and social.

Yesterday we welcomed author and former special forces soldier Thomas Rathsack to our office in Odense, Denmark, to give a lecture on personal attitude. With his military background, Thomas has experienced colleagues and friends in extreme situations and observed how attitude is pivotal when challenged. While military and Orifarm are worlds apart, Thomas’ key takeaway was that when we wake up in the morning we all have a choice of which attitude we want to meet our surroundings with. In a company like Orifarm, we rely on the performance of our people. When challenged, we must have the attitude to find the best solutions to problems and when we succeed, we celebrate alongside each other. Here, attitude is essential. Lectures like these give food for thought and is part of cultivating our strong Orifarm culture. Thank you for visiting us, Thomas!

In honour of today being International Day of Charity, our Orifarm UK team had the privilege of volunteering at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre yesterday. Mount Vernon is a part of our chosen charity for 2024 (East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity - https://lnkd.in/dRvrZnXz) and they spent the day repairing benches and clearing and tidying the outside area, creating a more welcoming and peaceful space for patients, their families, and the dedicated staff who care for them.   Giving back to our community is at the heart of our values, and we're proud to support such a vital cause!

Mads Fink Eriksen joins Orifarm as new CFO   We are pleased to announce, that Mads Fink Eriksen will join Orifarm as our new Chief Financial Officer.   Mads comes from a similar position in Ecco, and brings extensive experience within end-to-end processes, and which Orifarm will benefit from when realizing the company’s ambitious growth strategy.    “Orifarm has an ambitious and inspiring future strategy, which I look forward to helping to fulfill. To celebrate National Relaxation Day, we brought a professional massage therapist to our UK office for some much-needed chair massages. The 16 sponsors in Odense Boldklub have agreed to give up their logos on the shirts and replace it with the logo of Save the Children. This will render visibility of the organizations work for vulnerable children. CEO in Orifarm Erik Sandberg clearly sees a correlation between the good deed and the philosophy of Orifarm’s sponsorship: “At Orifarm we support the promotion of talents. This philosophy goes well with our sponsorship of the future talents in Odense Boldklub, which we would like to contribute to the development and insistence on the island of Funen, where Orifarm is headquartered. At the same time, we support the important societal task that Save the Children does for vulnerable children.”
