As we look back on Formula Student Germany 2024, we once again want to shoutout our amazing judges. This year we had more than 200 dedicated judges on site, contributing their time and expertise in the Engineering Design Event, Cost & Manufacturing Event and the Business Plan Presentation over three intense days. Their commitment and passion for fostering innovation and the invaluable feedback provided to the teams were instrumental in making the event a success. Formula Student Germany 2024 concludes with spectacular Racing and Celebration Formula Student Germany 2024 has officially come to an end after an exciting week of competition, teamwork, and innovation. Teams from around the world showcased not just their engineering prowess but also a remarkable team spirit. The week ended yesterday in an emotional award ceremony where the final trophies were handed out, recognizing the hard work and dedication of all teams. Following the ceremony, everyone gathered at the Mahle Party to celebrate the successes of the week. Saturday Recap What a day it’s been! Under the scorching sun, teams pushed their limits, powering through different disciplines with determination. Despite the intense temperatures, the excitement never wavered as teams put in extraordinary effort to get their cars back in shape and in the race. Their ability to recover so quickly was genuinely inspiring to watch! On Saturday evening, we presented the first group of awards. Congratulations to all the teams for their outstanding achievements and especially our winner for: FSG Business Plan 1st: NTNU Trondheim 63, FSG Cost & Manufacturing Event Monash University (Melbourne) 66 , FSG Engineering Design ETH Zürich 33, DC Engineering Design: Karlsruhe Institute of Technology 24, FSG Acceleration: TU Dresden 59, FSG DV Acceleration: TU Dresden 59, FSG Skid Pad: TU Dresden 59, FSG DV Skid Pad: TU Dresden 59. Our partners Siemens, MathWorks and Zeiss recognized their award winners and celebrated their great achievements. Additionally, congratulations to Chalmers University of Technology, the winner of the magazine contest, who got to see the stunning results of the night shoot for the first time—complete with a printed version to take home. This week has flown by, filled with excitement and unforgettable moments. But the action isn’t over yet! We witnessed a day packed with incredible achievements both on the track and in the paddock. The action started early with the EV Cost Finals. A big round of applause to the brilliant teams from Amberg OTH, Karlsruhe KIT, Melbourne Monash and Stuttgart DHBW for their outstanding presentations! The excitement carried on with our track action. Marshals were kept on their toes as cars competed in DV Acceleration, MV Skidpad, MV Acceleration, and DV Autocross. Both real and virtual drivers pushed their machines to their limits. Thats what we like to see! For the first time in FSG History we witnessed that autonomous cars beat the drivers times.
