Primary Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement ambitious, forward-thinking communications strategies that advance Condé Nast's global strategic priorities.
  • Lead the businessand consumer communications for Condé Nast’s wide range of brands in the China including Vogue, GQ, Architectural Digest (AD), Condé Nast Traveler and Vogue Business.
  • Oversee the China-based communications to deliver best-in-class communications strategies and promotional efforts for Condé Nast brands and talent.
  • Leverage and cultivatetop-tier media relationships to secure opportunities for key business priorities and leaders.
  • Utilize existing and in-depth knowledge of the China media and cultural landscape to generate proactive, innovative and creative press for our editorial leaders, talent and brands.
  • Work in collaboration with senior communications leaders globally to manage crisis communications. Risk management for regional communication cases pro-actively by leveraging global guideline and local communication agency when necessary.
  • Identify third-party commentary topics, trends and news agenda items in order to proactively pitch and secure daily media coverage.
  • Lead the cross-functional relationships internally to achieve internal and external communications goals, including editorial, commercial, consumer marketing, and HR.
  • Lead CNC internal communications and corporate events include MD letter, newsletter, Town Hall meeting, annual dinner and etc.
  • Prepare, research, plan,and implement integrated communication strategies derivedfrom business priorities, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality written materials including key messages, narrative, press releases, Q&A andstatements.
  • Build Condé Nast branding on China market, including but not limited by leveraging local events and China MD's public speech with representing Condé Nast China.
  • Identify and create new workflows and processes to improve the global communications function.


Desired Skills and Qualifications


  • Expert in communications with high standing and known reputation in media and among top journalists in China.
  • A clear understanding of the changing face of the global and China media landscape to inform the creation of new PR strategies.
  • Consistent track record of securing high-level media coveragein news, trade and entertainment press.
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis communications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across global teams; comfortable interacting with senior leaders and executives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to take on more as business required, able to deal with ambigouties.
  • Extensive and existing relationships with media contacts, includingnews, business, trade and entertainment reporters.
  • Media/entertainment/event industry experience are preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 12+ years' experience in media and/or entertainment communications.
  • Impeccable writing skills; samples will be required.
