We believe hospitality can be a force for good and leave a positive impact on our communities. Last week, a team of staff members from Marco Polo Ortigas Manila visited Tahanan ng Pagmamahal (House of Love), an orphanage in Pasig City, bringing 40 boxes of essential items such as notebooks, socks, pencils, body wash, milk formula, diapers, medicine, toys, and shirts collected from colleagues and JS Unitrade. More than just a day to give back, we loved that the visit delighted the children and, it was an opportunity to witness the incredible work the orphanage does to guide, support and nurture underprivileged children. We’re thrilled to have welcomed several General Managers to our group. Appointed as Area General Manager to oversee both Niccolo Changsha and Maqo Changsha is Vladimir Burazor.  Hailing from Serbia, Vladimir has managed several outstanding hotels in Europe and Asia, and with his strategic and business mindset we are excited to have him on board to manage two of our brands in China's most 'up-and-coming' city. Secondly, we are pleased to welcome Freddy-Pascal Hauc as General Manager of the sky-high Niccolo Suzhou. A native of France, Freddy has over three decades of international experience and has held numerous senior management positions in luxury hotels and restaurants across Europe, the Americas, Middle East, and Asia. In the sunny province of Cebu in the Philippines, Max Huber leads the team at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.  Known for his hands-on approach and dedication to team development, we are confident Max will be an asset in driving operational excellence and bringing invaluable insights to his role. Calling Qingdao his home, John Zhang has taken on the role of General Manager of Marco Polo Jinjiang.  He brings over three decades of experience and an impressive career in hotel management in cities across mainland China.  John was awarded the prestigious Golden Dragon award for two consecutive years – a testament to his performance in hotel operations. At the same time, we are delighted to share that the following General Managers have been on the move. Robert Cousins, previously General Manager at Niccolo Suzhou, has been appointed General Manger of Niccolo Chengdu.  With Robert’s leadership skills and results-driven nature, we are confident he will continue to bring out the best in his colleagues and contribute to the growth of Niccolo Chengdu. Returning to Hong Kong is Dean Dimitriou who took up the mantle of General Manager of The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel.  When he previously served as Hotel Manager of The Murray, Dean played a pivotal role in attaining the prestigious Forbes Five-Star rating for the hotel. Dean was most recently General Manager of Niccolo Chengdu.
