Switzerland makes history! The Paralympic Games officially ended yesterday evening. Switzerland was aiming for 14 medals. In the end, the Swiss delegation won 21! 🥇🥈🥉 With crowded stadiums, a warm atmosphere, and a high level of media interest similar to that generated by the Olympic Games Paris 2024, this edition is a true success.

On July 2024, REYL Intesa Sanpaolo and The Villars Institute have agreed to join forces on initiatives that will accelerate the transition to a nature-positive, net-zero economy through intergenerational learning and collaboration. Building upon Villars Institute’s strengths in sustainability, systems thinking, and entrepreneurship, the Villars Intensive Program on Ecopreneurship (VIP-e) takes young aspiring sustainability and regenerative entrepreneurs (or "ecopreneurs") on a journey from inspiration to acting on their entrepreneurial ambitions. Throughout the Program, the group was immersed in hands-on workshops and inspiring talks, gaining invaluable knowledge in systems thinking, leadership, and purpose-driven entrepreneurship. 19 students from 16 nationalities took part between August 5th and 6th. 🏆 Spectacular opening of the Paralympic Games in Paris The 17th Paralympic Games were officially opened after a spectacular parade from the Champs-Elysées to the Place de la Concorde. 29 members of the delegation were present, including Elena Kratter and Marcel Hug as flag bearers. For nine of them, it will be their very first Paralympic Games. Switzerland made its entrance at 9:43 pm. They paraded along the famous boulevard des Champs-Élysées towards the Place de la Concorde, the largest square in the capital. Until the closing ceremony on 8 September at the Stade de France, 549 sets of medals in 22 sports disciplines will be awarded. Switzerland aims for 14 medals.

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are now underway 🏅 From 28 August to 8 September, 4,400 athletes from 170 different countries will be competing for gold in 22 disciplines. 27 athletes will represent Switzerland, the most important delegation since 2008. At the last Games in Tokyo in 2020, the Swiss team returned with 14 medals. “The resilience and determination shown by the athletes is truly inspiring. A great artistic and public success for the 31st edition of the Verbier festival 🎺 The Verbier Festival came to a close after 18 days of top-class music. Ticket sales are up 11% compared to 2023. On this occasion, the Board has unanimously appointed Francois Reyl, currently a Member of the Board, as the new Chairman of the Fondation du Verbier Festival Board, with effect from 1 October 2024. "After several years as a member of the Foundation Board, I am delighted to be able to contribute as Chairman to the development of the Verbier Festival as a fine entrepreneurial initiative. The Verbier Festival's mission is to bring together, for the enjoyment of local and international audiences, the exceptional performances of the greatest artists on the musical scene with the young talents who are developing alongside them and ensuring the next generation of artists", comments Francois Reyl.
