What to Expect:

You will drive the vision, strategy, and implementation of digital transformation and process re-engineering within Nestlé Canada Inc. via leading a team of software engineers, data scientists, and data visualization experts to build innovative technical solutions that leverage cutting edge technologies.

A day in the life:

Setting the vision, aligning the strategy, and implementing automation & digital transformation solutions that will unlock personnel time, provide enhanced consistency, control, and visibility to financial data, and deliver greater business insights for the Canadian finance team. In this role, you will be leading two technical teams: the Analytics & Data Visualization team (Business Intelligence) and the Data Science & Automation team (IT & Automation Solutions).

  • Act as a results focused People Leader who leads to win and enables results through others. Collaborate extensively with other IT Heads locally and in other markets to participate in vision and strategy building, share expertise, coordinate successful implementation of projects, and to resolve technical problems.
  • Act as a Project Manager that prioritizes the pipeline of business requests: Make business-beneficial trade-offs of a deep project pipeline to ensure both the activation of the strategy and the urgent needs of the business.
  • Act as a Management Consultant that inspires the organization, develops and executes digital transformation strategy, and leads change via bridging the gap between the business world and the IT world.
  • Act as an Analytics Consultant that understands the business environment and influences decision making to develop/implement an accelerated transformative business analytics strategy.
  • Act as a Technical Consultant with solid technical expertise that leads a highly technical team of software engineers. See the big picture and translate complex business projects into high level engineering requirements and action plans.

Role Requirements

  • Highly developed leadership competencies in change management, collaboration, influencing others, strategic thinking, effective communication and leading/developing people.
  • 10+ years of collective progressive experience covering multiple strategic aspects of IT and Business. This includes Technical and Commercial understanding and cross-functional experience.
  • Solid IT expertise to be able to manage and coach software engineers.

Preferred Skills

  • University graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar disciplines. Additional Master’s degree and/or business/finance degree are considered ideal assets for this role which needs both: deep business and technical expertise.
  • Strong organizational planning skills and able to communicate with various functions and across all managerial levels to present and discuss information, issues and problems related to a specific project.
  • Experience guiding a team through project planning and coaching to enable the team to be strong advocates for change and transformation. Able to influence decision makers in adopting new processes and tools.
