For team member Demi Herder, STEPtember is more than just a fundraising campaign, it’s “a chance to celebrate the disability community and connect with incredible people who understand the challenges and triumphs of living with cerebral palsy”. Demi, who works as a Workplace Support Specialist at our International office, based in Hong Kong, was born with spastic cerebral palsy. “I’ve learned to accept this part of myself and navigate life’s twists and turns with it,” says Demi. “My cerebral palsy has taught me the importance of advocating for inclusivity and breaking down barriers to create a world where everyone can thrive.” For the month of September, hundreds of Woolworths Group team members are stepping up to raise money that will go towards vital equipment, therapy and services to children and adults living with cerebral palsy and further research and innovative technologies. “Seeing our team members step up for STEPtember is a powerful reminder that we're truly better together,” says Demi. “Their contributions, no matter how big or small, create a ripple effect of positive change for people with cerebral palsy and the wider disability community.” You can find out more about STEPtember here: https://lnkd.in/gPk6nd9
