OpenAI has confirmed it's working on a text watermarking method, as revealed by a recent Wall Street Journal report.  The tool works by embedding unique watermarks in AI-generated content, undetectable to the human eye but easily identified by OpenAI's technology. Despite being technically ready for about a year, the release of this anti-cheating tool has been delayed due to internal discussions. One significant concern is the impact on non-English speakers, who frequently use AI for writing and translation. OpenAI's survey found that nearly a third of ChatGPT users opposed releasing this technology. 📡 Researchers at University of Oxford have developed an innovative AI model that has been shown to predict heart attack risk up to 10 years in advance. What makes this AI tool special is its ability to spot inflammation in the heart that regular CT scans can't see. This inflammation is a warning sign of future heart problems. By detecting these signs early, doctors can take action to prevent heart attacks. Currently, the system is being tested in a pilot project across five NHS hospitals in England, including sites in Oxford. According to the British Heart Foundation, about 7.6 million people in the UK suffer from heart disease, costing the NHS £7.4 billion each year.
